I got it for my mother in law, who love it! I do not have arthritis but I have the smaller one for a long time and I do not have arthritis but I use frequently, it gives a greater leverage on opening tight caps.

Not good for large lids
I got this for large lids and it really doesn't work for that. I will have to go with the OXO Good Grips Jar Opener with Base Pad that can fit up to 4".I haven't tried the ziplock bag closer. I'm hoping that works.
