We have an artificial turf dog run, so this is perfect for puppy potty training (especially in the winter). I wish there was an option to purchase an additional "odor resistant cloth mat" so there would always be a clean one ready to go. We are using disposable liners between washing (which is not environmentally friendly).

I bought this for my mature Maltese. The weather has been really bad and it’s very cold for her. She took to it within a week, I put it out where she has her little accidents and then I moved it out of the middle of the room and she continued to use it. My one complaint is the black padding gets disgusting. I washed in the washing machine with oxy wash, soap and in the sanitary cycle and it’s still stunk. I soaked it in vinegar and dawn and OXY and it’s still stinks so I have went to disposable pads. The shredding of the grass is not a problem for me. There were a couple that shredded off when I washed it in the tub, but my dog is not a digger or a tour so it’s not a problem.

I ordered this product (Medium - 4 Layer) for indoor use, during freezing weather, by a mostly potty trained 15 pound 3 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Apart from looking similar to grass and having the plastic tray that holds the other layers I find this product worthless. A big issue is that the layers easily slide within the plastic tray and although some urine will eventually drip through the layers (which have basically no absorbance) a puddle will remain on top of the artificial grass itself until it dries/evaporates. When the puppy steps on the "grass" the top layers will typically slide at least an inch over an edge of the plastic tray and the urine from both the top and the bottom can splash off the product. What doesn't get splashed can still be stepped in and then tracked around, not just on but around the product. I've used this product for less than 24 hours and consider it to not only be worthless but also view it as being overpriced even if it were to be more functional. I think it would be much more reasonable to purchase real sod/grass if you can find a reputable company. However, such products that I have found online are also well overpriced. I will simply obtain basic potty pads that I will place in the plastic tray (worth $5 max) and everything else will be discarded. I would even place basic potty pads on carpet (without a plastic tray) before I'd consider purchasing a similar product again. FYI - I have used Amazon's basic potty pads (very affordable) in the past which are much more absorbent than all of the layers in this product. I have also used the Amazon basic potty pads to cut into the shape of a diaper and then line them with human feminine pads for when my older Staffordshire Bull Terriers goes into heat but that's going a little off topic. This product is worthless and I wish I could get a refund!!!

I live in a cold climate, and got this for an older dog that is tiny that doesn't like to do her business outside in the cold. Since she is getting older, we thought we wouldn't force her to go outside and would try this. It works 90% of the time. the other 10% she goes on the floor in other parts of the house. I am grateful for the 90% that it works though. I am not thrilled with the cleaning of it. It has been in the tub, since I can't spray it outside in below zero weather. It is what it is and it has to be done, but kinda a pain. we don't plan to use it in the summer, and hope she will do fine with going outside when the weather warms back up, soon. cleaning stinks (literally), but better than washing the floors several times a day.

Just needs a little fluffing out of the box but is all together and ready to go! Product quality is worth the money spent!

So I have a 13 year old chihuahua and we live in NYC. It has been 10 degrees or lower at night for the past couple of weeks and getting her to potty in boots is…soo difficult. She doesn’t do well in the cold. This miracle arrived today and I took it outside and gave the pee pee potty command AND SHE DID IT!!! I laughed. I cried. My dog didn’t freeze to death taking a piss. Happiest moment of 2026. The end.

My 4 month old Carin terrier has shredded the edges of this thing so bad the turf grass is everywhere. The pungent odor gets so horrible that my puppy won’t even go near it unless I am washing this thing every single day. When it’s freshly cleaned, it works well. I wish it would have come with one more absorbency mat so I can rotate them while washing and I will need to purchase more turf pads just to prevent the disgusting stench from taking over my home.
