This is a story that should resonate with anyone who has gone, or is going through, struggle. Tremendous account of a person who overcame all the uphill challenges thrown at him to become a worldwide star and hugely positive contributor to his community and society at large. Entertaining and educational to read!

The Book of Jose: A Memoirby FAT JOE; Shaheem Reid is an interesting and enlightening memoir that I enjoyed.This book gave me a real insight into the trials, struggles, biases, and triumphs that the author has experienced growing up as also as he balanced the tightrope of his past, present, and what he hoped to achieve. He definitely has talent, and his battles were hard-won. The hills he had to pass over to make his way towards making some of his dreams a reality, really showed me how much perseverance, drive, and passion he had, and still has, and I wish him all the luck and positive vibes that he’s able to continue onward.4/5 stars

This book serves as a testament that anything is possible in life, both good and bad! I appreciate you Joe for allowing us into your LIFE and what made you the man you are today. More rappers from OUR era should do the same. Writing and reliving your past is probably one of the best forms of therapy. I grew up in 1309 Washington Ave. in the BX and can testify that Joe described life in the Bronx precisely during our upbringing in the 80's. My book Motivational Motives (also on Amazon) was written with the same objective; to inspire, to shed light, and to allow the reader to realize that ANY obstacle can be put in prospective by following your passion! SALAUTE, CRACK!!!!

The book of Jose is amazing, I purchased the audio book, specifically because I wanted to hear Fat Joe tell his story, Fat Joe is a great story teller, I wanted to hear more honestly, I couldn’t stop listening.

This was a great book. It is always great to get an inside look at someone's life that you admire for their "come up" Congratulations on such a successful story!

This book is a must read! Joe’s influence on culture has been overlooked but reading this book makes me appreciate him & his success! Can’t wait to see what else he does!

What a waste of 20 bucks. Fat Joe hasn’t done anything in 20 years, therefore the book is a money grab. Something just to thicken his income stream. This book might have been successful 10 years ago when he had some, if not much star power—-otherwise, a waste of time reading and money spent. The content and themes are violent and depict a world nobody no human soul shouldexperience—-yet Joe writes as if he glamorizes and almost nostalgically misses the life.In the final analysis, this book is repetitious of what you would find in one of his first albums, “jealous one’s envy”
