After researching, I decided an the AFE cold air intake. I bought from Amazon because it had the best price. It is an easy install and a perfect fit. I haven't driving it enough to see if I get increased MPG, but the engine has a little more of a throaty noise since the resonator is removed from the OEM air intake. If there was a horsepower increase, it isn't noticeable, which is what I expected with a possible 19 horsepower increase. The filter is blue oiled, but I purchase a red pre-filter. This product installed and performed as describe.

Nice unit but it was missing the bung for the IAT sensor and no clamps for the rubber coupler from throttle body to plastic pipe nor the clamp for filter to plastic pipe.. I haven’t tried contacting the manufacturer as of yet. Maybe they’ll see this and reach out.

Vehicle: 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 5.7l V8 Summary: Cold air intakes are a debatable topic so don't fool yourself. This intake will not give you noticeable power or cure what need for speed you may have but it will get rid of that huge air box, give you a nice grunt under power, and allow your motor to breath a little more especially if you live above 6K feet in elevation like I do. I've had the Mopar intake which overall is terrible design and the K&N which has a better design but requires unnecessary parts and sits on the A/C compressor line. After researching what feels like every intake on the market I found aFe to have a unique design that they don't really tell you about. Pros: - Tubing is lightweight and has indentions for the A/C compressor line. - IAT sensor actually locks into place like the stock intake. - The air box seal fits 99% of the way around and comes pre-cut. - Has a plug to allow more or less air into the air box. - Air filter has rubber nubs that sit snuggly again the air box. - The IAT connection and vacuum hose are in stock locations. - Uses the stock air vent location in the hood above the driver headlight. - You can get everything from the throttle body to the air filter completely flush. Take your time and don't settle for gaps. Cons: - Connecting the air filter to the tube takes time to get completely flush and will probably frustrate you. - I wish the intake tube bolted to the air box as opposed to using a big worm clamp. I've only seen one company use that however. Final Thoughts: This is a very well engineered air intake, probably the best one so if you're going to give any intake a shot this should be the one. None of the parts are metal so there's very little to no heat transfer from the motor, design functions similar to the stock setup, and while it costs more than all the other intakes I personally think it's worth it.
