This is a nice little product for conveniently testing common batteries and keeping spent ones from being dumped in landfills. It's attractive and just the right size. Instead of throwing used batteries in the trash, just test and collect them. Then, take them anywhere that recycles. I felt compelled to write this review in response to the single 1 star review that I read. I don't like to see useful products get dinged for stupid reasons. This product is so easy to use that instructions aren't even necessary. The only caution states, "To prevent short-circuiting, we recommend protecting the terminal end of all batteries prior to storing them by individually bagging them or otherwise covering the ends." If terminal contact with other batteries is really a concern, use a piece of scotch tape to cover an end. It's not a big deal. I don't worry about it because I know the batteries going into my bin are DEAD!

This is the perfect device for testing and disposing of old batteries. Don't know how we ever did without it

i purchased one of these because i got tired of having used batteries lying around before i could recycle. this is a great tool as it organizes them all in one place. The bin also includes a tester so i can be sure the battery is used up, and that there are no issues with the device. I would encourage anyone to have one of these that wants to streamline their battery recycle and generally unclutter their house.

This battery recycling bin is a wonderful tool to keep all your dead batteries in one place until you get to the recycling center. It holds a lot of batteries and you can test them on the top to see if they are truly dead. I bought this 3 years ago and it is still not full. But it is very heavy once 2/3 filled up so I will probably take to recycling soon. You can test AAA, AA, C, and D on the top. There is no tester for 9 volts. Easy to carry to the recycling center once you are ready.

Quality seems nice. Large enough to hold quite a few batteries. Small Enough to store in a closet, keeping it out of the way. Tested on new, used, and dead batteries. Seemed Accurate
