As an adult who is picking up drawing this was a great starter set. Quality pencils and charcoal. The paper that comes with it is good. Definitely worth the money

It’s 42 pieces and the pencils and other equipment come with a black case and there’s two sketch books, this is definitely and good buy!! The quality of the mini items are great it the price is very good, the colors are not scrappy and boring !

Nothing fancy, good for basic sketches, art and portability. Metal pencils sharpener a nice backup in case electric sharpener not available or other.No need for wood cases that could slip and break on a flight of stairs.

My sister bought this for my daughter for Christmas, she’s an artist! This was the best gift she’d gotten amongst everything else. She loved this, I’m pretty sure this is the only gift she took really care of! It a definite YES!

My grandson absolutely loved this for Christmas. He's a 9 year old aspiring artist and it has everything he wanted and needed in it. He spends hours drawing with this.

This is a nice set. The case is really nice, well made and sturdy. There are a lot of pencils in this set and other items that I’m unsure I will actually use, but they will be fun to explore. All of the items are good quality. I am not a professional by any means, and it has been quite some time since I have drawn, but the quality certainly surpasses ‘beginner’ materials.The case holds the pencils on a panel that raises and props up so you can easily access the pencils while you are working. It is designed this way on both sides of the case.The materials include different kinds of sharpeners. There are two standard pencil sharpeners, sandpaper, and a small utility knife. I have not used these yet so I can not attest to how well they function.There are two erasers: a white vinyl eraser and an art gum. The white one works well, but I have not opened the art gum yet.There are 12 drawing pencils varying in hardness from 8B to 5H. There are some other graphite implements, charcoals, 4 pastel pencils in shades of grey, red brown, sepia, and black.There are two blenders, one big, one small. And there is one pencil extender.It comes with two sketch books, one smaller size, one standard. Both are spiral bound. The texture of the paper is decent. The thickness/weight of the pages is okay, though I’d like it to be a tad thicker. They are good for practice and I like having the small one for warm-ups.Overall, this is a really good quality, all-inclusive set. It would be great for a student, though be advised that it does have a utility knife included (it’s probably not a good set for a child, though it’s more than a young student would need anyway).
