My tractor has lots of grease fittings, one of which would not take grease. It was tucked away in a very hard to get to place, and unlike the others proved to not be threaded into the casting. I was not even aware that there was such a thing as a drive-type grease fitting and I've done a ton of automotive work in my time.I wondered whether 5/16" was sufficiently different from 8mm (Korean tractor) to matter, and the answer is, no. Once I got the old one out (no small task) it was a simple matter to drive this one in. I used a small deep-well socket, an extension and a hammer to get it in place.Pro-wannabe tip: The old drive-type fitting was in a recessed spot where it was "impossible" to get hold of it to pull it out- needle-nosed vice grips couldn't get a solid grab. Maybe you know a better way, but here's what I did: I have a washer mounted behind the grease gun tip to make it easier to push onto fittings. I connected my grease gun and pumped up the most pressure I thought I could do without breaking the thing which causes the tip to hold on tight to the fitting (since the fitting wouldn't take any grease). Then I used a crowbar to pry against the washer in a couple of directions to pry the fitting out.

Easy to install. Used a socket slightly larger than the tip of grease fitting to tap fitting in using a small hammer, as this is a press-in fitting and not a threaded fitting. Works great on my lawn mower. Nice tight fit.

These are not sized properly for the hole that is specified to be drilled. After pressing in and using the 1st time, fitting just pops out. Garbage.

Poor quality was not threaded properly, tried to replace several times with no response.

Grease fittings are necessary to prevent wear on metal bearings and shafts.

They fit perfectly in my dump trailers
