Expanding garden hose
I’ve previously had a couple of those green fabric covered expanding hoses which haven’t lasted long at all, so when I found I needed a new one (again!) I decided to go for a different one this time. The difference is obvious, this appears to be a much better quality one, although it is more expensive too. It has brass metal fixings on its ends, rather than plastic, the spray gun is better quality too, and the hose itself feels quite thick and seems heavy duty. You also get a bracket to fix to a wall if you want to hang it up when not in use, and it came in a bag which I’ve used to keep all the spare bits in. I didn’t think it was going to fit on my outside tap at first, but I then found that the tap connector comprises of two pieces and I only needed to separate them and use the lower one and it was good to go. It was easy to change between the water flow settings on the spray gun, and there’s quite a few different ones to choose from, I like the shower one. All in all I’m very pleased with it, it expands well and is easy to pull over the garden, and it contracts well when you turn the water off.

Doesn't even last a year! However problem resolved by seller very quickly.
I bought this product in August 2023 and it has just developed a leak at the joint of the flexible hose to brass connector which connects to the sprayer. Cannot even give it a star for durability. I contacted the seller and had a response almost immediately. They wanted to know the problem and also photographic proof of the leak, which is reasonable. They agreed on a replacement and I received the new hose today. The leak is a manufacturing fault and the quality of the hose is good. I am changing my rating to four star and I would give them a five star for customer service.

Well made especially the attacments
My balcony planters have never looked better. The moment this 100-foot RüK hose expands from its compact 33-foot coil, it feels like someone has quietly extended the garden. Water flows freely through a four-layer latex core wrapped in sturdy 3750D fabric, and the brass ¾-inch and ½-inch connectors twist onto the outside tap without the faintest hint of a leak. Because the hose is so light, I can thread it round the car, skirt past the kids and even rinse the surfboard without feeling as though I am grappling with Nessie. The spray head offers ten settings, from a delicate rose mist for seedlings to a hard jet that sends opportunistic seagulls on their way. A thumb lever controls the pressure, although it does stiffen a little once it is wet. The supplied hanger slips easily over a fence rail, but its plastic moulding feels more pound-shop than premium, and the drawstring pouch is really only useful for keeping the spare washers dry. I have also noticed the fabric sleeve picks up scuffs if it drags across rough concrete, so it is worth lifting it clear of sharp edges. Still, for a little over thirty pounds you are getting serious reach, zero kinks and brass fittings that should shrug off the rainy weather. If the outer weave were a touch more abrasion-proof, this hose would be almost perfect for our unpredictable weather.

Sprung leak after 7 months - poor design
Leak formed where hose meets the brass after 7 months. Not good design. Would not recommend.

Great value
Watching this new garden hose shrink back on itself after use is oddly satisfying. Coiled beside the shed it measures just over ten metres, hardly more than a fat skipping rope. Turn on the tap and, almost before I have time to untangle my gloves, it lengthens to the advertised thirty metres. That party trick relies on a four-layer latex core clad in 3750D woven fabric, both of which seem strong enough to survive my gravel path and the occasional encounter with the dog’s teeth. The connectors deserve a mention. Proper brass, three-quarter and half-inch threads, so no frantic spinning of plastic collars while water splashes into your shoes. The maker even includes a stout metal hanger, which means I can lift the whole bundle off the ground and keep it from knotting itself round the rhubarb whenever the wind picks up. At the business end the spray head offers ten settings. I mostly switch between the soft mist, perfect for rinsing mud off the dogs paws, and the narrow jet, which has already blasted two months’ worth of seagull evidence from the shed roof. The thumb lever that controls the flow is a welcome relief for anyone whose joints complain at the first sign of spring pruning. At roughly a quarter the weight of my old rubber hose, hauling it across the lawn no longer feels like a training session. It is not flawless. The black plastic collar behind the nozzle feels flimsy, and you can sense water pressure fall away when the hose is stretched to its full length. Still, at about thirty-three pounds you get a hose that stores in a shoebox, never kinks, and comes with hardware that should outlast the next few summers of careless use. For me, that balance tips firmly towards good value.

In my opinion I overpaid
Bought it in 2023, Leak under connector appeared after a bit over a year(took me about 9 months to make myself to write a review, ) other than a leak, it is a fine hose, did not get worn down on elements dragged on the floor, just in a bit that is stearynian and protected. I was using it only once a week on average.

it's lightweight
This fitted brilliantly in the place of my old hose. I was struggling with the large plastic hose even though it was a wind up one. This is so lightweight I don't have to struggle with it down the drive to the front garden. It doesn't get knotted up so I didn't have to keep going back to get rid of a bend in like I did with the old hose . I've watered my plants and also jet washed my car. I'll never have to go to the car wash again ! That alone will pay for this new hose in time. LOL You must wait until the hose has emptied itself and shrunk back enough. It actually gets smaller and smaller so you have only half the length and it's light to carry and place back on the holder, which is also provided . The holder is a bit flimsy but does the job. I'm elderly and can use this with ease compared to the heavy plastic hose that I had. I wind it around and can carry it on one wrist ! I had the 100 foot one.
