They might seem silly or expensive at first but that changes quickly.
I love these light bulbs, I do wish they were cheaper but I oddly feel like it's almost a quality of life change. On the surface that sounds like a silly statement because they are just light bulbs and you can buy others for far cheaper. The reason I feel like I could never get rid of them is due to the color and the almost absurdly wide range you have at your disposal. At night when I lay down I like to do a little reading and I set the bulbs to a scene called Moonlight, which puts 2 of them at a blueish white and one at a more white with a little blue color and dim it to about 30%. Doing this lights my entire bedroom in a look that I would definitely say simulates a moonlight look and it's very relaxing yet bright enough to able to read still.I have also found these lights to great for our newborn because he enjoys watching the colors cycle and they have been very helpful in getting him to sleep with different scenes that are relaxing. Syncing them to the hue sync app for music also sets a really cool type of ambiance that is really awesome once you start using it. We also have A19s in our living room and set those at different colors throughout the day, on birthdays we will set it to our children's favorite color and during holidays set them in a tone to match the theme. The better half and I have been mixed on the voice integration and having to use an app or buying the remote dimmer. I personally love this and was able to adapt right away to asking the echo or using my phone to turn them on or requesting a scene. It had taken her some time at first to not accidentally turn the lights off or wish she could just hit a switch but I had to remove the lights at one point for 2 days and once she could not it was more apparent how useful it was this way.To end this I honestly can not really think of anything I would complain about aside from the cost in wishing they were cheaper but they are surely worth the expense in the end.

The bulbs are awesome 😎 and works flawlessly
The bulbs are awesome 😎 and works flawlessly, I bought 4 of them to go in my ceiling fan. It also works with my iPhone 📱 Phillips hue app and several others apps as well like Alexa which I have it setup. My other three ceiling fans take the regula bulbs 💡 in which I bought as well. All in total I have over💯 Phillips hue bulbs devices like Phillips hue switches and hue sensors. My whole house 🏡 is now automated. Price was not an option. However I wouldn’t mind if it was cheaper. So most people could afford it if they wanted to do there whole house, because the cost can get in the thousands of dollars 💵. Like it did for my house. All in all I have had much success with Phillip hue lights, sensors & switches being my background is in technology and could troubleshoot any problems easy. It was not an easy task setting up everything. Once it’s all setup it is easy to maintain. I do run two Phillips hue hubs one for upstairs lights, switches and sensors and one for downstairs.

Excellent color quality and brightness in a small E12 package. Another great Hue bulb!
Excellent color quality and brightness for the size. These aren't cheap, but there are a lot of creative uses for E12 bulbs if you have those type of fixtures. Connected to the Hue hub immediately and works great. I'm always impressed by these Hue lights, they work so well and are so easy to set up.

Worth the cost
Worth the cost, 100%. (Pics do not do these justice) These might seem gimmicky, but there is a complete palate of natural light colors that lets you perfectly match whatever light is already coming in through the windows. Or to complement them with a greyish purple or icy blue. I have always hated having lights on during the day, or evening, or anytime where there is even the slightest bit of natural light coming in. Light bulbs have always clashed with natural light in a way I could not tolerate. I would often find myself sitting in an inadequately lit room because there was just enough light coming in from outside to clash if I were to turn on the lights. These bulbs changed everything. I can /perfectly/ match them to whatever outside lighting is coming in, so my rooms brighten without changing in hue. There is a complete palate of natural light that is easily accessible, and separate from the color palate. These are easy to use, easy to install, and overall beautiful. I will eventually convert every light in my house to these.

Love my Hue bulbs! If only they were a little brighter
These are not my first set of Philips Hue bulbs. I've been using them for a about 2 years now, slowly outfitting my house with them as I find them on sale. Currently, I have 19 Philips Hue bulbs (A19 and Candelabra types) in use with another 10 BR30 bulbs being delivered to installed in my kitchen/dining room. I've got them linked to my Echo, IFTTT, Apple Home Kit, and even to my Nest cameras.Setting them up is pretty easy using the Philips Hue app. They work as designed, are quick to respond, and have a wide color range palette. Creating schedules is very useful. The latest update that allows you to configure their last power on behavior has been a huge improvement to the system. Before the update, it was annoying that all my lights would turn on after a power outage or would revert to the default white if someone accidentally hit the light switch. Nothing like being woken up at 3am from all your bedroom lights turning on at full blast or coming home to find all your lights on. This new update minimizes this from occurring (it'll still happen if the power cuts in and out multiple times in short order). If there is one thing the app could improve on next is adding the ability to choose color temperature and the ability to copy custom made scenes from one room to the next.If I had any suggestions for improvement in the bulbs themselves, it would be to offer a higher light output. A 60w equivalent candelabra vs their current 40w equivalent versions would be great! They serve the purpose, but they could stand to be a bit brighter (especially when behind frosted glass) since I use them as my primary light source and not as an accent piece.

Great light, slightly overpriced
The Phillips bulbs are great, don't get me wrong, BUT I would say they are a little overpriced compared to other brands. Great colour selection, and it works well with Alexa most of the time.

Me gustó mucho !

Pretty cool -- work perfectly
I bought these for my daughter's room (in her chandelier) at the same time that I bought the Hue kit with four color bulbs. The setup for these and the other bulbs went off without a hitch and my daughter can now even control her lights by voice via her Echo Dot (or by using the Philips Hue app, which I find to be better than most reviews make it out to be). They're pricey bulbs, but they work as expected. I would buy more.

Expensive but work as advertised
Bit of an impulse buy....had my daughter’s room remodelled and rearranged with new furniture so I thought I’d surprise her with three of these colored LED candelabra bulbs too.Had a bit of a hiccup as Alexa didn’t recognize the color capability of two bulbs at first, but deleting them from the app and re-adding them fixed that problem. They now turn on and off, and to any desired color with a simple voice command. Also note these bulbs are a bit bigger than your standard candelabra bulb (see pic). Just something to be aware of as their size may make them unsuitable for some applications. They’re expensive ($54.99 each at time of purchase), but the price is up front. Pay it or don’t. Totally up to you.....free will and all that.Anyways, happy to add these to my Philips Hue collection. Would recommend.* Helpful votes always appreciated *
