Enjoy!
Interesting subject, I learned quite a bit. The big problem is that this is an academic work, flush with dense language that can sometimes make reading a slog. This is not a problem if you are an academic, but those without an advanced degree or who posses only a passing interest in the subject would be wise to read something a little more mainstream. That being said, if you have any interest in the surveillance regimes visited upon politically powerless constituencies (specifically welfare mothers from Appalachian Ohio) by bureaucratic powers (specifically welfare agencies), then this is the book for you. Also, the book contains an excellent critique of the idea of the right to privacy, detailing the limitations of this right against the technological capacity for surveillance that now exists. Enjoy!
