Saved my life (at least of hunger)
Usually I take a standard lighter for use with my MSR when camping. I hiked at high elevation with a lot of condensation rendering my lighter useless. I couldn’t get it to ignite my burner.I’m so grateful I had gotten this flint fire starter. It saved me. I was able to have my dinner and in the morning able to have my coffee and breakfast.I love it because it’s also very small and lightweight.It will no doubt not be as easy to use or as large sparks as some other larger rods but it’s only $6.50….

May take some practice.
The striker on this ferro rod takes some practice to achieve large sparks. I think a different striker would work better however, this will work and a good item to have while hiking.

Works well
Very convenient and works well. I will add this fire starter to my field pack. We often take trips out into the bush for hunting, fishing, camping, trapping, or just scouting. We like to have a nice assortment of emergency equipment along for insurance for an unexpected incident. This little fire starter is a great addition and I tried it out as soon as I received it and it worked beautifully. Never a bad thing to have with on any adventure!

allume feu
Bonjour, j'ai reçu cette allume feu portable avec sa pierre de magnésium.J'ai trouver qu'il était tout de même difficile de l'utiliser et d'allumer un feu avec par temps froid.Je trouve qu'il est nécessaire de bien gratter la pierre de magnésium et éventuellement de la réchauffer entre les mains avant d'essayer de gratter et d'obtenir une étincelle.Mise à part ça le kit est sympa.

Survival ding
Hab es mir für den Fall der Fälle gekaut, Blackout und so. Besser als Streicholz oder Feuerzeug, welches schnell schwinden kann. Mit diesem Teil komm ich bestimmt länger durch. Hab aber noch nicht versucht ein Feuer zu machen, aber funken macht es ordentlich. Versand und Zustand waren natürlich Amazon reif. Ohne Probleme.

„Ich habe Feuer gemacht!“
Der handliche Feuerstahl von EVEREST FITNESS ist der perfekte Begleiter für jeden Outdoor-Ausflug.Inspiriert von „7 vs. Wild“ wollte ich mich auch gerne mal am Feuer machen mit einem Feuerstahl versuchen.Wenn man weiß, wie man den Feuerstahl in der Theorie verwenden muss (im Zweifel hilft hier die mitgelieferte Kurzanleitung oder zahlreiche Videos im Internet) braucht man tatsächlich nur wenige Versuche, bis man sein erstes kleines Feuer entzündet. Also Zunder bereitlegen und ran an den Feuerstahl!Gespannt bin ich, wie lange der Feuerstahl halten wird, da bereits nach den ersten Versuchen sichtliche Spuren im Stahl zu sehen sind (siehe Foto).

Zieht ordentlich Funken
Zieht ordentlich Funken. Wenn man dazu vernünftigen Zunder und oder Wachsschnur verwendet, dann lässt sich damit ein Feuer entfachen.
