Mystery part was needed. Figured it out. Thermal fuse connects to one side of heater coil. Has a heat sleeve covering it. Nice they included it. Not hard to replace. Holding old fuse next to sleeve covered part. By the way, this works great! We process enough to never bring home store bought water. Meter works great to know the difference between pure water and not so pure… you’ll be surprised what store bought water scores. Tap water score high! Well water even higher. I fill 5 gallon jugs… got rid of most of my empties. It keeps up easy for the demand.

First water distiller that I've owned that had a handle on the top for easy removal. The first one that I've owned that has a separate on and off button so can be turned off at any time. The stainless steel is always a bonus.

I can't believe Amazon would pawn off a piece of garbage like this on me, one if it's most loyal customers. Yes, I got a whole $5 off for buying USED- VERY GOOD. Product arrived missing instructions, filters and it was FILTHY. Used is one thing - incredibly dirty is another. Also the product does not work, the fuse is blown. Said it was "checked" but I don't believe it. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING USED FROM AMAZON AGAIN. BEWARE OF ALL "USED" PRODUCTS.
