12 Way Automotive Fuse Box

Fuse panel being used to distribute the load output from solar controller. The controller has basic protections, but it's always wise to fuse various circuits for whatever unknowns might occur.Panel is easy to mount. Terminals have decent spacing and lugs seem reasonably heavy-duty. The knob that holds the cover down is a nice improvement over some similar models.The fuse assortment leans towards higher-current fuses... I wish it had more of the smaller fuses but that's just my application preferences. No way to tell the fuse socket durability at this time but not expecting any issues.I would buy this again.

Anything hooked up through this fuse block is not protected. All of these slots continue to send 11 volts to each circuit. This is not safe.

So this fuse box has been installed and tested. While the box has performed what is necessary of it easily. The only gripe is the red indicator light that lets you know that a fuse is blown one of them doesn't work. Not a deal breaker, but this is annoying more than anything. The circuit itself works just fine, jist wish the QC was a lil bit better. I would still buy again especially for the price. 4 stars because of the QC issue.

The unit was malfunctioning on its first use. Only the top two positive leads would work And I suspected something was internally wrong with the unit. Uninstalled, opened up and saw that The first set of positive leads did not have its internal mounting screw like all the others. Needless to say, when this bracket torqued, it split the soldering to all the other brackets causing them to not have power. I am fortunate to have been able to troubleshoot and fix the issue but this was a brand new product that was defective from the manufacturer.Cheap product, you get what you pay for, I'd suggest buying something else...

Installed the fuse block as I did with others (“different” brand). I began to smell burnt plastic then noticed my wiring was beet red. I immediately shut off power and checked everything. Wouldn’t even blow the 5 amp fuse.Hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else, but this could’ve been the end for me. Sad this stuff is out there, but people gotta make their money anyway they can. Immediate return, hopefully they don’t resell it like they do most other defects
