What is the difference between the 10 inch and also the 12 inch matress?

I’m going to go with the 10” vs the 12”. There doesn’t seem to be much difference as far as comfort goes. So my decision is mostly because I think the mattress covers and sheets will fit better on the 10”. I’d think I’d have to stretch my sheets quite a bit to try to fit over the corners of the taller mattress.

How is the edge support on this mattress?

I’ve got a $2,500 tempurpedic and this mattress in the guest room (where I sleep a lot) and can say the edge support on this mattress is one area it’s not as good. That and you sink into this one a bit much which makes moving around more difficult. BUT I gotta say overall for 10%!!!! of the price it’s a comfortable mattress.

Is this mattress good for heavy people?

My son weighs 270, sleeps alone.  Mattress is separating (top layer is offset about 3-4 inches on one side)  I think it's just a general defect in the manufacturing.  He bought the mattress in the fall of 2017, so it lasted for about 2 years (about $110.00 per year.  My wife and I love ours of the same thickness, but then I only weigh 140 and she's about ten pounds more.

I want a firmer mattress. How many inches should I purchase?

For me, I wish I had some of the issues some of the people answering this question have had.  I like a firm mattress.  I weigh just over 300 lbs.  I am a large mammal.  I have the 12-inch mattress, and every night I sink into that thing like I am sleeping in jello.  I find myself moving to different parts of the bed to get back some firmness.  Eventually, I sink in, and then move.  Repeat as necessary.  We also have a skinny version of this in a twin bed size.  That is firm.  I will take naps on that bed to get the sleep I am missing in the King-sized 12-inch thick bed.   My experience (which, admittedly, is different from many of the others answering this question) is to get the 6-inch version if you want a firmer bed.
