I cannot speak highly enough of this machine. The price, the quality, the accuracy! Even the instructions. The best assembly instructions I’ve ever used for anything! If this is the entry level machine for sculpfun, then I can only imagine what the step ups are capable of.One thing you don’t see often is how it cuts. It cuts through oak (OAK!) without breaking a sweat. So far tested up to 8mm. That’s also without the air assist which I’ve just ordered. Honestly, this is the best purchase I’ve made for my business in a long time. 5* for every aspect.*edit it’s not been over 2 months and I am still just so impressed with this machine. I had an issue with the air assist pump, but contacting sculpfun was easy and they’re replacing it straight away. I am still cutting through up to 8mm of oak without a problem and the provided I keep the lense clean which is easy, it is clean, and engraving is perfect. I feel like I’m only scratching the surface with this machine. This is only the entry level machine! Just brilliant.

Best purchase I've made in quite some time. Easy to assemble and install. Laser cuts beautifully fine. Definately no complaints here.

So far so good. The Sculfun S9 arrived really quickly and very well packaged. The assembly instructions were super clear so even this novice could set it up unaided and without wanting to chuck it out of the window at any stage. BUT my search engine will not let me access the Sculpfun website as it says it is not secure. No option even to override that. So there doesn't seem to be any way I can get the User Instruction Manual, which is really frustrating. Has anyone else had the same problem and found a way round it?

Building the Laser was simplicity itself. It took 35 minutes max, and some of that time was reading instructions which I don't normally do. Downloaded Lasergrbl (free software) and etched and cut my first test piece within 90 minutes. Have since tested it's power and am suitably impressed. I cuts through 3.6 hardwood ply and 5mm pinewood in one hit. I also tested it on 12.5 mm pine and although it cut with about 10 passes, the underside wasn't very pretty. When I get time I'll adjust the power and speed and do another test. It's all trial and error. By the way, this is the first time I've ever used a laser cutter. I highly recommend this laser to anyone thinking of buying. It's a great product at a great price.

A great little laser, does the job I want it for, 1 tip , don't set it up in your home, it gives off some nasty smelling smoke and fumes which why mine is in the garage, you can get an enclosure for it but you need to attach an extractor to it . When I use mine I keep the garage door open.

Easy to assemble, and links up with Lightburn easily too. Seems to cut well and was a bargain at the price.However!........I was getting wavy lines on left to right cuts??? It turned out the bolts holding the top Y axis weren't properly tight and the Laser module was wobbling slightly across it's travel.A few seconds to tighten them up and the problem was solved!
