Ticket to Paradise [DVD] [2022]

Enjoyable

We missed this in the cinema. Wonder if seeing it on the big screen with accompanying sound would have improved my viewing experience. Probably!! Clooney and Roberts look great and act well together, even if the script does not make for a very realistic love/hate relationship. Going to Bali to prevent their daughter Lily, and excellent Kaitlin Dever, from marrying "in haste", they face all sorts of romantic and difficult situations with a quip and a grimace. The Bali locations are breathtaking and the film does not overstay it's welcome. Romance, comedy, and some nice acting (Bilie Lourd as Lily's best friend is also excellent). I really did enjoy the last 30 mins - Yep! A Happy Ending, but quite a moving one. Not a classic, but a pleasant glamorous 95 mins. Recomended particularly if you like the 2 stars - For me, just able to manage 4 stars. The price is currently excellent and the extras are fun (if you like bloopers - ) picture, sound and subtitles all good.

Very unhappy when I tried it first time as it was not possible to run in English'My daughter had to change the format on her laptop before I could play it properly.I already had exactly the same problem with the same DVD I bought at Morrisons and returned in for a refund.I assumed when I bought this through Amazon it would be OK but on the first occasion no daughter to help,

I saw this film at the cinema when it was released and enjoyed it, decided to add it to my collection. It is a perfect romantic comedy from the king and queen of rom/com George Clooney and Julia Roberts, who clearly had a great time filming this delightful film. The scenes shot in Bali are particularly stunning, and the great care in detail that the film makers went through to include the correct wedding rituals of the Balinese culture are to be applauded. I have many films that require concentration and make you think after viewing, but sometimes you just need to watch something that just flows and is easy to watch, something to ease the mind, and this is one of those films. Even though you know at the beginning that George and Julia will get back together, going on the funny journey with them to that point in beautiful surroundings, and with some great music thrown in is worth watching.

Usual combination of actors that work well together. Good story line. Well worth a watch.

Nice film, good light entertainment

Basic drama with zero plot or character growth. Having 2 famous actors with fantastic hair even after a storm doesn't instantly make a good movie. No one was convincing in their role and Roberts and Clooney tried too much. I grew up watching them and all I was thinking about is how 'meh' they both were in these roles. I don't know why it is so hard to make an original funny comedy these days?

Great Movie, arrived on time

I ordered this movie to play to a large group of people at a center - did not open it until this week and it stated that it is not going to play in our Region. It must be for a different country - This was a very difficult situation - If there is anyway to return it for a refund - please let me know - it is totally useless to me. I would truly appreciate you consideration. Thank you for your time

I could not watch it due to the fact it would not run due to it would only work in 2 different countries. Never got to see it. I went to Walmart so I can watch it this afternoon.

Was so looking forward to this DVD, but when it arrived it did not work in our player! The DVD was in the UK format and the On-Line Returns Support Center did not work, either!!! Not happy to say the least.

The movie will not play it keeps coming back out of machine. Tried on several and does not work on any device.
