Botanicals: 100 Postcards from the Archives of the New York Botanical Garden

These are great cards! The designs are gorgeous and the paper is perfect for postcards - ink absorbed well and no smudging. There is also generous space left for message which not all designers include anymore. Bought another set from same company last year - “In Full Bloom” - but this set has much more interesting designs and there are only a few plant names with repeats (different designs, though, for same plant) in this one whereas the other had 2-4 cards for each plant.

Used these for my graduation party! People could write a message and my mom mailed them to my to through my first year! So worth it and adorable.

I used these postcards for our wedding guest book and it turned out perfect. We had a little mailbox so the post cards got placed directly inside the mailbox and made it really easy to clean up at the end of the night. There’s a good variety of pictures so we didn't get a ton of repeats on the guest cards. The quality is also really good - it’s heavier cardstock but not waxy like a typical postcard.

My frugal self has purchased postcards almost everywhere I've traveled. They make great mementoes. I believe I must have 600 or 700 in a shoebox, and I send them regularly to friends and family. One day I wanted some that weren't photos of locations, and I purchased these. OOOOOHHH they are nice. No "Hello from Hawai'i" or "Beautiful Norfolk VA" -- no, just some skillful artist's renditions of actual plants, plants I have and haven't known, plants that would make any recipient happy and calm. Firm card stock of good quality. Drawings have almost a throwback feel, which makes them extra nice. And who doesn't like to get a postcard?!? These should last me to the end of my life and beyond.

After spending quite some time looking just about everywhere for simple "Thank You" postcards, I FINALLY found these on Amazon. (I even looked on Amazon a while back, but never saw these until last week.) All I wanted or needed was pretty cards to include with the packages I post to my buyers on Ebay. Something simple, something tasteful. It is harder than one would think to find such a thing. Thank goodness someone put this box of cards together-----and at such a terrific price, too. I saw one "poison" plant card which I probably won't be sending to anyone. Too bad I didn't have this card when I sold my awesome old cobalt blue glass Owl Drug poison bottle a couple years ago. It would have been a great card to send with that little bottle. Such wonderful art on each and everyone of these cards. I have posted a photo of eight of my favorites for you to see-----and these are eight I picked out of only about 30 that I have looked at so far. It is an embarrassment of riches to have these sublime cards on hand. I love the address lines, too. Whenever I post a package, I make sure and write on a card what the item is being posted, along with the address. You never know when and how mail may get waylaid and the outside address destroyed. There is one problem that I foresee, however: I will spend too much time trying to decide on just the right card to share and it will be painful to give up many of these, as each one is splendid and deliciously enchanting in its own right. Buy these cards. You will love them, too.

These are nice postcards. I love flowers, so I was expecting to fall in love with them. But, I didn't. Oh, there's certainly nothing wrong with them. They are printed in lovely colors on a nice weight card stock, and there's room to write a short message. But, for me, at least, there's just too much white space. I really wanted a card with more elaborate flowers and far less white space. These cards contain lovely painted flowers, but for me, the flowers are too unusual, and there are far too many succulents, and I am not a fan of succulents. I wanted things like roses, wisteria, camellias, begonias, pansies, impatiens, petunias, and my favorite, peonies. You won't find any of those on these cards. If you like a lot of white space on your notecards, and if you like the more exotic flowers, then you're going to like these cards a lot more than I do. Even though they aren't my favorite, I will use them. I just wish there weren't so many!

Exactly as advertised. The cards are unusual but pretty. I wanted to use them as thank you cards and cards to write short notes on them when I give people my bouquets from my garden. There are so many that it just is economical.

Lovely designs, no repeats in illustrations (some different version/colours of same plant), beautiful colours. Used them to decorate my wall as shown but would work fine to post. All plants named with some really interesting ones. I think I got a couple more than 100. Come in a nice box. Would highly recommend.

Superschöne Karten, die man als Deko verwenden oder eben versenden kann. Tolle Verpackung, die man weiter verwenden kann. Ich bin begeistert und würde sie immer wieder kaufen. Man kommt ewig aus und erfreut sich an jeder Karte neu.

Perfect postcards to send, display, or leave a note. They are always noticed, admired, appreciated.

Wanted some postcards to send to my cousins overseas that reflect my love for plants. Mostly cause I don't like going out and buying the ones around my city. The postcards here are very bland. And these take the ink really well. I hate getting a postcard only to find out that the ink doesn't stay on let alone absorb into the paper. I LOVE A GOOD PEN. Good purchase. Highly recommend.
