desertcart.com: The Land of the Gods: The Long-Hidden Story of Visiting the Masters of Wisdom in Shambhala (Sacred Wisdom Revived): 9781639940240: Blavatsky, H. P.: Books Review: Madame Blavatsky My Adept friend - I love Madame Blavatsky. She speaks my language. I was actually looking for a recommended book about self compassion, and there was Madame Blavatsky, just when I needed her, in The Land of the Gods. I'm like, I gotta get this and it's the first one I read out of the several books I bought. She reminded me that my true calling is, I am an Adept. I knew of her from other things I have read about Theosophy, particularly, Premium Collection by Gertrude W. Van Pelt. This seems True to me, about the history of the universe, human race and God. "There is nothing real but God. Nature is only a manifestation of His (our) power. Let no one expect that somebody will prove the existence of God but seek to be a living witness of His presence and power by becoming god-like and Divine by His Divine Grace. People are destined to restore within themselves the divine image. When they realize the divine ideal within their hearts, their pilgrimage through manifold incarnations will have ended, and the object of existence accomplished. Peace be with you." Everybody should be aware of this. What a different world it would be. This book speaks to the Rosicrucian philosophy, which the universe gifted to me with the works of Max Hiendel, many years ago. Very detailed and intense, facinating, like the anatomy and physiology of the universe. I love it. A more modern approach is Dee Wallace's Borne, which is also excellent, way easier to understand and has practical applications. Madame Blavatsky My Adept friend

Conversations with Spiritual Masters in the Astral Realm
This book recounts an out-of-body experience where the author converses with enlightened beings about spiritual retreats, inner work, and societal norms. It's not a guidebook for astral projection or meditation, but I still found the content relevant. My only concern with this book is that I noticed the editor altering the original text (in one instance she replaced the word "animality" with "selfishness"). My takeaways: • Concentration strengthens the soul. • Before becoming spiritual, be natural. • With proper spiritual retreats, you would bring the greatest possible benefit to the world. • The Adepts say, “Give us people who desire nothing but the truth, and we will take care of their needs.” • The spirit gains strength when it finds nourishment in lower principles and is guided by wisdom to choose what it needs. • Let those who desire to develop spiritually attempt to think with their hearts, instead of continually studying with their brains. • Consistently aim to transcend animalistic tendencies, and you'll be among those who've thrown off their animal elements to live a spiritual existence. • Your will is strongest if you have no will of your own, but remain in all things obedient to the Law. • Many desire spiritual growth and immortality, but they feel trapped by external circumstances they're afraid to challenge. Instead of focusing on what truly matters, they spend their time and energy on meaningless pursuits. Countless lack the courage to break free from societal norms, even if they disagree with them, fearing social backlash. As a result, they forsake their spiritual potential for the fleeting trends of fashion. The story concludes with the author receiving a physical book titled "The Secret Symbols of the 16th and 17th Century Rosicrucians" as a gift for further study. This occurred in the 1800s; if it were to happen today, the author would need a book that is more understandable and practical. The spiritual masters in the story recommend practices such as overcoming the animal ego and honing mental concentration. Today, those intrigued by these practices would need to seek guidance from contemporary sources. Beginning with books like "The Spiritual Out-of-Body Experience" by Mark Atwood or "Dream Yoga" by Samuel Aun Weor would offer more tangible guidance compared to the gifted book from 1785. I can't shake the feeling that the core message of this book is: awaken spiritually, then build proper spiritual retreats.

Not what I expected
I have read almost all of her writings and then saw this. I thought it would be a wonderful addition to the knowledge she has given. I wasn’t really impressed with the book. It’s an interesting story but I feel like it wasn’t really her work.

The Ultimate Truth Is Revealed
The Secret Doctrine is very complicated book and it takes time to comprehend what this book is stating. I read it a few times and have it in a few copies and in two languages - there are many predictions that are already fulfilled. The book The Land of the Gods is a short book but provides everything in such great details and overwhelmingly explains everything about the human being. This book is a Swan Song by the great person H. P. Blavatsky. She is a sphinx - the mystery. I wish in one of my future lives to be next to her and serve her or if possible to be her student. If everyone in this world would understand the book The Land of the Gods then the world would be enlightened with the light of perpetual wisdom, and there would no point for war, hate, jealousy, cruelty, greediness, etc. There is not much difference with previous book that was published in 1910. However, I agree with publisher that finally published this amazing piece under the real author name of this incredible pearl of truth. As I read it I see her style, her thought, her wisdom. Many thanks to the publisher for this amazing work and design!

This book was clearly written by someone of extraordinary insight for the time it was written in, speculation re the exact author is an irrelevant distraction. As you found this book, if you have any curiosity at all, buy it as you were meant to read it, it is that simple. Spiritual journeys are best experienced and not just read about, it is a little known belief (I don't like using the word truth as it tends to trigger people) that it is possible (depending largely on the reader) that you can suspend disbelief and picture yourself on the journey of the author receiving the teaching the author received and quaffing / internalising the spiritual truths such as the author has done to the benefit of your spiritual journey... additionally, do not be afraid of re reading it some time later as it is natural for different layers of the teachings to be more relevant to you at another time. Best of luck.

Fascinating book. I only discovered HP Blavasky a couple years ago during my spiritual awakening/dark night of the soul. This is the first book I finished of hers and even though I do have the secret doctrine and I’m looking forward to reading and completing that it’s made me want to read more of her books. I highly recommend this to anybody who is open-minded and is on their spirituality journey.

This book is unlikely to provide entertainment. Only two kind of people may profit from it - believers and researchers. It might bore ordinary readers. It is a fantastic tale, where the narrator allegedly met the Theosophical Mahatmas - including the reincarnated Paracelsus, Joan of Arc and Sister Helena (Helena Roerich?). The 'Glossary' is useful, as it provides insights into the doctrines of the Theosophical Society.
