...Keeping in mind the blade is circular, work in circles, slowly, listening to the sound difference between hair that is cut and hair you still need to cut... The blade height is adjustable, and the settings are most suitable for an 'athletic', or 'military' style... trimming a beard with this is tricky, and lead to my current close shave LOL... I suggest using whatever technique you used previously for your beard... Charging speed is good, but the usb charging cable is proprietary, DON'T LOSE IT...

I have been cutting my own hair for about a year now, and I have always had a problem getting to the crown, and would have to come back once or twice, and even use scissors to cut back longer hair I could not get to. The Kemei 887 takes care of the crown problem. I use the next to the closest setting for my top, and a regular cutter for the sides, as I cut it shorter than this unit can do. I am very happy with the unit except for the terrible charging instructions that quote two different times for first time charging, and the led readout that makes no sense. With this unit, if you are wondering where all your hair clippings went, they are on your head, as this type clipper just dumps the hair in place, so you need to blow/brush/wash the clippings off.

It’s a well made product and seems like a great idea. If your head is perfectly formed I’m sure it would work quite well. But I, like so many people, have a bony skull with valleys and peaks and the tool was unable to cut evenly and left my head with patches of uncut hair. I should have taken a photo… I looked hilarious. So I had to shave my head completely bald with a razor so I can start fresh.

With the diminishing quantity of hair on my head as I age and the cost of haircuts today, this is the perfect option. Doesn't seem to do the job on the first cut (even making several slow passes in all directions) but running it over my head again the next day, it seems to get the hairs I've missed the day before! Ha ha! !Didn't see that coming when I bought it but I'm still happy with the clipper! Figure I'm enough $$$ I'm good with the result!

Received yesterday, charged battery, didn’t take long, used KEMEL hair clippers after I washed my hair, my hair is on the short side so I used the 7mm for the back and sides and the 9mm for the top, I’ve got a small clipper I used for my neckline and around my ears, overall result, the KEMEL clippers did a very good even cut, very easy to use, no hair tugging, very quick hair cut, easy to clean, will use these clippers every two weeks to keep my hair short, very impressive clippers for the price, I’ve used other traditional and a lot more expensive hair clippers in the past, but these for just over £30 pounds cut my hair evenly back, side and top very quickly, the 7mm and 9mm seem to blend in very well with my hair, very happy with purchase.
