They’re ok. They do feel like thin, lightweight 20D rip stop. One would definitely need a sturdy shell pant to hike or ski in these to avoid tearing. The listing claims 800fp goose down. The down filling does feel very soft and delicate, could easily be 700+. First complaint: There’s just very little of it in there. My kitchen scale says they weigh 260g, or 9.2 oz, but there can’t be more than 3 or 4 oz of feathers. There were a lot of empty spaces when first unpacked. A few minutes in the dryer with tennis balls and another down blanket (large dryer) helped puff em up, but the fill is still a bit lacking. Second complaint: the sizing. The listing does indeed say slim fit, but the XL waist and hip measurements are comparable to a US x-small to small. The tight fit causes all down above mid thigh to be compressed, rendering it completely useless. Bring on CBS (cold butt syndrome)! The waistband is laughably tight compared to the rest of the pants. The inseam measures 29”.So! If you’re very skinny or petite and looking for an affordable way to keep your legs warm in very cold winter temps or wanting to stretch your sleeping bag rating 5-10°, these might be for you.Side note: CBS will happen when you sit or lay in feather down pants no matter how high quality the product because the down gets compressed under your bum or hip. You will need an insulated seat and/or sleeping system to avoid feeling the cold from the ground up.

I consider myself to be an XL and unfortunately these pants were too tight in the waist when buttoned. They did end up working for my intended use as a layer sleeping during cooler weather. If possible order a size larger than you might otherwise expect - for comfort and maximum loft I slept with both side pockets opened and the fly fully unzipped.Despite being smaller than ideal, the garment seems to be overall well constructed.I expect to have additional colder weather camping opportunities in the coming months and will update my review as warranted.

So these pants are basically a puffer jacket for your legs. They feel great and are warm. They seem to be well made and I very much like them. However, I believe the size chart is off. I wear a medium in almost everything and 32x32 pants generally but these are tight in the crotch and a bit short. Going off the listed measurements these should have fit well but in reality the medium is small and likely should have gotten a large.So long as you size up or get the correct measurements, you will love these pants.

fit a little tight so i would order thema little larger. they are warm and comfortable and well made...good value for the money

these warm pants keep you warm and dry.The size runs somewhat small so if wearing over other clothed would buy one size up, will wear these a few times and update on the durability and warmth in the extreme cold.

The tentock down pants are made in PRC (china). I ordered the largest size I could, XL, that he size chart says goes to 102 cm (about 40 inches) and I am a 36 waist. The pants, when laid flat, the waist measures 14.5 inches wide. I could not get the pants to button at the waist because there is no real stretch with the waistband. So this XL fits like a US small size would at the waist. The pants seem well made, but Tentock sizing runs small.3 stars

I can't pretend I'm a sporty person and bought these for snow activities. Honestly, I'm just someone with bad circulation who feels cold all the time so I'm constantly looking for warm, comfortable clothes. I love these pants so much!! They're the best. I wear them all the time now. They're lightweight but keep me toasty and warm and they're incredibly comfortable. I also think they're actually really cute. I feel like I'm in an old school Missy Elliot video when i wear them, lol. Also, clumsy me spilled soup on them on the second day wearing the pants. I was impressed by how waterproof the pants were against my hot soup. And I'm happy to report that these are fast and easy to clean! I washed them on the delicate cycle in my washer and then air dried them in my warm house. The pants just took a couple of hours to dry out! I know these pants are stuffed with down which is what I'm attributing all these miraculous characteristics to. I'm sure, too, these pants would be wonderful on the slopes against the cold.

At first I thought my wife would feel like a stuffed sausage wearing them, but upon putting them on, she couldn’t believe how soft, comfortable, and dare I even say, fashionable! And even though we weren’t shopping for “fashionable” per se in warm snow pants, she was very pleasantly surprised.My wife and I walk 3 miles most evenings, even in below zero temperatures of MN, so ultra warm outerwear is a must. These pants have an inner filling that is made of 90% white goose down, with 800 fluffiness. The operating temperature can reach -15℃~5℃ and they are water resistance and breathable, keeping you dry and clean in wet conditions like rain, snow, fog, etc.They also have an adjustable waistband and they slide on and off easily.My wife is looking forward to many years of warmth out of these pants. It’s currently not cold enough here right now to put them to the warmth test, but as it gets colder in the next months, I will update my review if anything changes. 5 out of 5 stars.
