Works GREAT! Rock solid reception surrounded by trees
I have been using over-the-air broadcast TV since they went digital. I have used a Yagi amplified directional antenna InstallerParts Snap On Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna -- 150 Miles Long Range -- Motorized 360 Degree Rotation -- Wireless Remote Control at another home with very good results. I purchased the same one for use at this house, but some Channels came and went, had pixelation, etc. This location is surrounded by trees and about 50-60 miles from the transmission towers in Florida. I had been using Windows 7 Media Center as my DVR and Guide for about 15 years. and since windows recently stopped supporting Media Center, the guide has been wonky. So I read that Phased-array antenna may be better because of signal reflections from trees (or buildings). WOW is all I can say. I now have 54 channels (all the Orlando broadcast networks) that are coming in rock-solid with this antenna since I installed it! ONLY ISSUE I HAD WITH THIS ANTENNA IS THAT I HAD TO DRILL A HOLE THAT WAS MISSING ON THE ASSEMBLY.My latest DVR setup has this antenna feeding a Silicon Dust Connect SiliconDust HDHomeRun CONNECT. FREE broadcast HDTV (2-Tuner) plugged into my home network router with a WD MyCloud NAS drive WD 4TB My Cloud Personal Network Attached Storage - NAS - WDBCTL0040HWT-NESN for storage. I couldn't be happier with this antenna and over-the-air DVR setup! Eventually, my Windows7 box will be history.

works ok.
the picture quality was good, had good reception range. could not use a signal amplifier with it because of the built in unit. it rusted badly with in 2 years. not bad for the price , there are better ones in the same price range.

which is an excellent suggestion. The antenna was placed on a chair
After trying several of the indoor plastic encased and/or paper thin antennas (all of which were returned), I decided to try out the WA- 2900A antenna. The antenna arrived quickly and undamaged. Assembly instructions were difficult to see on the instruction sheet so I used the ones on the container box. All went well until it came time to mount the VHF dipole...a hole was missing. A quick drill fix. The instructions indicate that one should test the antenna indoors prior to placing it in it's final location, which is an excellent suggestion. The antenna was placed on a chair, in the living room and pointed through the sliding glass screened patio door. My condo is about 8 feet above sea level with most TV towers located in a NW direction and few NE (as indicated by TV FOOL). After completing the necessary connections I attempted to scan thru the 25 channels (main plus subs) discovered by the last connected paper thin antenna...no signals. It became apparent the Gain Control was not working. This was on a Friday morning. I emailed customer support about my problem and why I thought the Gain Control was defective. To my surprise, an hour later, I received an answer from Bill with further suggestions on resolving the problem , and most importantly, informing me he was sending the necessary item and that it would arrive the following Monday. It did. A quick channel scan picked up 42 channels to include the elusive HF Hi channel (FOX). This antenna appears to have about a 90 degree view at this location with the most distant channel picked up at 68 miles. I consider this to be Outstanding Performance. Most importantly, in my view, is the outstanding customer service supplied by Bill and his company; service response I have not received from other companies in many years.

Be careful of the Description...
I ordered this based on the idea it was 150 Mile long range description. Looking back now on the way its worded, I guess maybe only the UHF/VHF is long range... and its also an HD antenna?.. Previously I had an 80 mile range HD antenna, and was hoping this would be an upgrade. It was not.. So I went back to original antenna. Also it said the antenna was mostly pre-assembled. There are alot of loose parts in the box so I don't know if that's completely accurate.. I got it assembled fine, its not difficult, but "Mostly Pre-Assembled" is a stretch... all in all, its not very expensive so I'm not loosing sleep over it, just wish it would have been advertised a bit more accurately so I could have at least saved the hassle off assembly, install, tuning, etc... just to go back to what I had.

FANTASTIC ANTENNA- we are 50 miles from chicago towers
FANTASTIC ANTENNA- we are 50 miles from chicago towers. except when its really windy and the trees sway, the picture is perfect! snow fall does not effect it! Look at the box and compare assembly while using the sketchy instructions. I have mine sitting on a box on the front porch INSIDE the house and only about 10 feet from the ground. STILL a very powerful signal into the digital IView cable box. LOVE IT-- CUT the CABLE! Going to buy a second one next!!! ENJOY!
