Woodland Scenics Tombstones 20 Scenic Details

Good product
These were a lot of fun to use. Once they’re painted you’re able to read the headstones. Some of them do require a bit of work to remove the flashing and casting lines but they’re so small it only takes a minute or two. They’re much easier to paint and handle if you glue them to something, I used a tooth pick. I also didn’t have any trouble with paint sticking. I used liquitex white acrylic as a base for some and Vallejo surface primer in German panzer grey for others and can’t tell now that I’ve fully painted all of them. Do recommend!

Pretty Great. Going To Make Some Spooky Dioramas With These
I have a feeling I'll be making some very spooky shadowbox scenes with these. You get quite a few for the price, and they have some great detail. The product is as expected for HO Scale scenic model pieces. I think I'll likely break the set apart and use different graves in different art pieces. Excited to get something fun made with these. Woodland Scenics makes some pretty cool stuff. I know the intended purpose is for Model Trains, but this is not what they HAVE to be used for. Lots of fun to be had here.

Threw it all in the garbage!
Threw it out. All choppy plastic. None of the headstones could stand up. In jagged piece like a thorn could have cut you badly. Waste of money!!

Quick and easy cemetery
Nice detail, perfect for anyone who wants a cemetery. I aged my tombstones with dirt, green mold and everything, so they look ancient. Some of them are intentionally crooked. I even made my own wrought iron cemetery gate, adequately spooky looking.

Packaging Issue
The pieces were loose inside the vendor packing. One of the crosses in the set had its base broken off. Other wise I would have given the set five stars. This is the second set of figures purchase from this manufacturer that had some problem. The other issue I had was flange material left on one of the items. I would really look over any figures I receive from this manufacturer.

Get ready to trim a lot of flash
After trimming and painting this set looks good. Due to the size and metal they are hard to trim.

Lots of filing
These are pewter cast, they are small, you will want to file the edges. I had to use needlenose pliers to hold on to them while I filed the edges. It's a pain, but they turned out ok.

The tombstones pewter and tombstones are granite. The casts bases are very rough won't stand up.
They are just too unreal for the trainset.
