Getting to the heart of it
Finding out Norma "Roe" McCorvey died a pro-life advocate made me want to read her story and find out what transpired that changed her mind and heart, so I bought the Kindle edition of her book. This is testimony you don't want to miss. I was surprised to learn just how little Norma was involved in the Roe v Wade decision. Almost immediately after the supreme court decision was made, Norma was handed her hat by the leaders of the abortion rights movement. They only wanted her signature. I was enlightened by her account of working in the abortion business and of those she worked with. My only criticism of the book is the "flashback" setup of the read. I would have preferred a more uniform, chronological relay of the events and insights. I understand why it was put together the way it is, but I think it would have preferred a smoother read.I highly recommend this book for people who want to see some of the heart behind the abortion/anti-abortion movements, and to learn more about Norma's life.

Amazing
Let me just say this: this book managed to reduce this 23-year old male college senior to tears. I came to know more about God's love in this 240 or so page book which I was able to read in two evenings than I have in volumes of systematic thoelogy...In what is perhaps one of the most encouraging books I've ever read, Norma McCorvey (Jane Roe of Roe vs. Wade) shares with us the story of her upbringing, her involvement in the (in)famous Supreme Court case, and how she was used both by the men who caused her to desire an abortion, and ironically(!), the people who she turned to for help.In the end, it was the love of Christ expressed through a group of Christian pro-life activists who moved their office next to her abortion clinic who started to soften her heart. Building on a friendship with a young girl named Emily, Norma befriended her former arch-enemy, and in one culminating moment, decided to give her life to Christ. The later parts of the book are concerned with the reaction she received from her former cohorts and the liberal media, and exposes the double standards employed when people don't tow the liberal line during interviews and such.Needless to say, Norma is now a pro-life activist herself, who has founded her own ministry, Roe No More ([...]If you only have the time to read one book this year - or have one to recommend to someone, this should be it.

Should Be Shared more mainstream than it has been
Just finished - I enjoy listening to audiobooks but couldn’t find this one so purchased paperback - I personally think anyone who wants to get in on the debate and voice their opinion owes it to themselves to read this account - Frankly, I’m amazed that this knowledge from a first hand account isn’t more mainstream as large as this debate has been, and shame on the media and both sides for not sharing what I think is crucial in knowing more openly the background of a case as important as this one. I consider it now a must read for anyone who has an opinion and wishes to sound off; at least be able to say you know the background from the source because it is key to anyone’s true understanding BEFORE you form an opinion on such an important case.

This is How God Works in Your Life if You Let Him
I have never had an abortion. I have never birthed a child either. I have been a step mom and taken care of other people's children at one time or another since age 10. I am a Christian. I wanted to know why something so fundamentally abhorent to me- the killing of unborn human babies- was being justified. I wanted to understand the person behind Roe V Wade, and to understand how her personal transformation from "pro choice" to "pro-life" came to be. Norma's story is riveting, and for this Christian, a kick in the butt reminder of God's love as He intends for us to love others. An added bonus is Mary Does story. Won By Love is also a history lesson on the legalization of abortion, opposition movements, and the legal and social environment of the time-70's to 90's and even more relevant today in 2018.

Roe v Wade 2
The story of Norma's conversion is what happens when love wins out. Christians who love life are not the three-headed monsters or haters that the liberal media portrays. As with most people who hate Christians and God because of the media, exposure to those who actually walk the talk result in acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior. Jesus is still the answer to the sin problems of today, but the liberal media will continue to paint a picture to the masses that only the god of self-convenience or self-exaltation is the answer. In this story Norma finds the truth and the truth sets her free from death and the guilt of murdering innocent babies. I encourage pro-choice women and those considering abortion to read both books to follow Norma's journey to wholeness.

Couldn't put it down!
This book changed my life and built up my faith in God's life winning love! All the little pieces of Norma McCorvey's life story encouraged me that no love displaying action toward a nonbeliever is never in vain. God works all things together for the good of those who love Him! I work at a crisis pregnancy center (similar to OR) and this book proved to me that NOTHING is impossible when you work for God!
