If you are working on Gaslighting, bullying, and emotional intelligence, get this book!
Novel approach that seems close to Imago Theory and incorporates fragments from many wisdom traditions. As a person with PTSD related issues, I definitely found relief and advice in this book that was perfect for me. Examples were easy to follow, realistic, and clearly relevant to the point. I like the examples, the structure of the book, and the straightforward language and advice, and reading it happened to coincide with one of my worst bullying encounters of this year. I feel it helped inform my choices, reduce my reactive responses, and improved my confidence in asking for what I wanted without criticism. Many subtle points that make a huge difference in action. Intuitive, yet not obvious, especially when one is triggered. Loved it!

Such an important book
I liked his book called "No Bad Parts," and how this changed the work I am doing for/with myself. However, this second book, "You Are the One You Have Been Waiting For" tackles 'parts' work in the context of relationships. This is an even more potent place to do parts work, as relationships are the place we work much of ourselves out. This book will help you understand that your partner cannot be responsible for healing your parts, indeed only you can do that. And a good partner can show compassion and support without getting entangled in your parts work, but this requires lots of consciousness on both people's parts. I found "You Are the One You Have Been Waiting For" invaluable and easier to follow than "No Bad Parts." I recommend this to anyone who is in a relationship in which individual 'parts' are showing up.
