Nice to have a single headlamp that gives you just about any type of lighting you could need for jogging, walking, changing a tire, reading, etc. The touch switch is interesting. Though I haven't actually carried it in a pack yet, it does NOT seem that inanimate objects will activate the switch and drain the battery (which was my biggest worry about the unusual switch design). The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that you have to cycle through all 5 modes to turn it off. So, if you just want to use the main light on high for a while, then you want to turn it off, you still go through low beam, wide beam, red wide, and red flash, just to get back to "off". I have much older LED headlamps that deactivate the remaining modes after the current mode has been in use for 5-10 seconds. So the next click is always just "off". If they could integrate that feature into this light, I would bump my rating to 5-stars and buy more of them.

Take out the trash after dark without dropping a flashlight, where is that third hand when you need it. Putting neighbor's chickens away after dark; walking from your front door to neighbor's gate. Walking through their yard to the coop with your headlight leading the way. Locking the coop door and installing the safety pin in the lock to keep the racoon at bay. Using the red light to conduct a head count without messing up their night vision. Walk through the yard again, lock the gate and walk to your front door. Touch control, light out.Reading a book in bed with the wide white light. Ready to go to sleep; just touch control, light out. No switch to operate. NEAT STUFF!!Sincerely,Bill Warnock

I don't write many product reviews. This headlamp deserves my time spent. Few economical products actually stand out from their competition, but this one does. As soon as you put it on and light it up with just a touch, you realize what a pain in the ass (and head) other headlamps can be. We've just come to accept that to turn them on, you have to mash the thing into your forehead finding and activating the switch. With the Decaker, you just lightly touch it, and you're in business. Don't believe the review that says the touch button has no rhyme or reason. I find it to be a solid and sure thing to activate, and the light is plenty bright, outside at night, down in the crawlspace, up in the attic..... Plus, it's just the coolest looking thing, kind of retro-futuristic movie prop neat. Got the first one months ago, still pleases me every time I use it, and I'm here writing this review because I came back to order more. We have a half dozen other more expensive "normal" headlamps around here, and now next to this one, they all suck. Buy this headlamp, and be happy.

The Light itself is AWESOME! The round one is the brightest with high/low settings. The COB LED is a good flood light and it turns steady red and strobes red - really fast. HOWEVER, the touch sensitive switch, albeit a GREAT idea to prevent accidental turn/off, is not very functional. In fact there seems to rhyme or reason as to when or if it will turn the light in or off when you touch it. If you are easily frustrated with products not working as designed or advertised DO NOT BUY THIS LIGHT. I would return it, but I don't think the seller would accept all the little fragmented pieces it is in now. RIP little fella.

Nice offering of choice between distant light and broad close lights. Rookie mistake is thinking you want an extremely bright headlamp -- that bright light just an inch above your eyes is blinding your night vision. Use a bright light in your hand away from your eyes.

I like this light and what technology it uses. I would like a waterproof unit.

best all around. I like it more than my other expensive one.
