A Girl's Guide to Making Really Good Choices

This book was purchased for my 11 year old (5th grade) daughter. I read the book first before giving it to her and I found that it was a great book to help her with her accountability and her choices RIGHT now. We are at the age where it is a constant struggle with attitude and her wanting to cross some boundaries as far as clothes and what she thinks is acceptable.Author Elizabeth George has a special talent for breaking down into small bites ways to live a better Christian life. In this particular book she gives some very easy to follow advice for girls in the early stages of being a teenager. This book would be a PERFECT book for mom and daughter to do together or as a small group in a Sunday school class.This book would be a great addition to your daughters library or as a gift to a young lady. I recommend this book to anyone with an up and coming tween or teen girl.

My 11-year-old, 7th grade niece and I are halfway through this book, so far. She looks forward to spending time reading & writing in this study. To keep her engaged, we take turns reading the pages and, together, read the Bible verses out loud. It’s brought up practical, relevant & Godly conversations.

Such a fantastic book! I used it for morning devotional and study over the summer with my 8 and 10 year old girls. It’s just the perfect amount of writing. It has such great topics. I highly recommend!

This was purchased for an 11yo girl. At first glance she thought it was about her "behavior." The book set-up is easy and simple. The wording is very easy to understand. The sections are rather long for this particular girl, but if you have a girl who is a big reader then that won't be an issue. The "chapters" are set up in ways that make sense to tween girls but I personally feel they could have been broken down into half the size for each topic. Or at least have more reasonable stopping points...I DO want her to read and respond to the questions--but I don't want her to feel like she is doing homework. Good book really! And I just chose stopping points for her...she enjoyed the first part. We had a short discussion about how having good in your heart will help you to make good choices. But the verses were also pretty random, the first focused on making good choices as per a verse in the Bible. But I wish it would have specified WHY GOD wants you to make good choices or what GOD says about it or at least some example from the Bible.

I love this book and so does my daughter. She is 10 years old. The topics are great for discussion and it has sections to fill out. The topics are just right some are about prayer, friendships and what to look for in a friend with biblical passages. It could also be a devotional book. highly recommend it.

If you're looking for a tool to use to teach your young girls strength of character as a woman, this book fits the bill! It has great examples of biblical women, and gives great explanations of what it means to be a woman of not only good character, but GREAT character! It's so worth the read if you have young girls in the ages of about 7-20, I really feel it has insights that are of value for children of any age to understand and sit and read/talk with you about the book.

I got this book to use in our Mentoring Group. A very good piece on how children can make choices based on biblical principles. I have recommended it to many parents to get for their children.

This book has helped my friend to develop her daughter into a positive young lady. They have both gained skills, which have helped them to become good reflectors.

Not what I was expecting

This book was purchased for my ten year old daughter to have devotional on her own. She has been sharing the things she's learning through this book with us and her friends.
