If you know what a loom-made khadi fabric looks like, you will know what I am talking about. There are tiny flaws in the construct of the fabric which are visible when we observe closely. Personally, I think these flaws look very cute and raw and they give these plain pants, some texture and personality. People who are so used to looking at and wearing blended machine-made fabric clothes might not like the appeal of this, I have worn so many ones before myself! But i honestly loved the way this looks so summer-like and indian. The pants may need ironing after each wash and i am fine with that. Now the size problem that people are writing here! I get it! I am a 5 7' boy and my waist is 27 and this pant fits so perfectly on my tiny waist and also length-wise. By this, i mean even if i pull out the tying rope, the elastic itself fits comfortably and i dont think the rope is even needed. But someone of my height cant have a waist smaller than mine hahah. So the point is if your waist is more than 30, Dont buy it! The height can be easily reduced but the waist tightness cannot!

For this price, it is decent, the fit and finish is rough. I doubt it will fit someone with waist 40. My waist is 34 and its comfortable, not too loose. In the future I will go for the more expensive fabindia, it is just way better than this one.

It's coarse cotton. The description says it has pockets big enough to hold your mobile phone in. It's true, but the pockets could have been a little broader too. The phone or wallet is stuck at an odd angle almost to the knee. Make the pockets broader.Only the black one has a strong elastic, is roomy from the waist to the crotch so that it's not like a low swung jeans. And you can sit cross legged in it.The elastic of the blue one is loose, and it's so tight at the crotch that there's possibility of it splitting after some time. It rides down at the back if you sit.I returned the maroon and grey ones and got a refund.
