Rumble in the Jungle Paperback – 9 Jan. 2014

I bought this book on recommendation for my teenage sons, but decided to read it myself first. I'm really glad that I did too. The book is interesting, engaging, and the characters come to life immediately. My sons have been fighting over the book the last few days taking turns reading it and catching up with each other; we have agreed to do the family thing and read the last 10 pages together. It's not often that both of my sons agree that they like the same thing, let alone like something I suggested to them! My oldest hates reading with a passion and this is the first time in the last year or so that he has taken an interest in anything other than a video game, so thank you Mr. Abbot and Mr. Mason for rekindling his desire to read again!I look forward to other books by both Cary and Fergus.

This is a tremendous teenagers' book; brilliant plot and so well written. I bought the book for my grandchildren and decided to read it first since this is the first Fergus Mason fiction I have read. Cary Abbott's plot is just what teenagers are looking for, almost unbelievable to adult minds, and how the tale was told and the language used were excellent and kept me reading to the last page. I hope this duo is going to give the young reader more of this type of adventure.

Neither the story nor the writing underestimate the intended audience. We are dropped immediately into a terrifying situation, and it's action pretty much all the way after that. Boy's own genre with a 13-year-old female protagonist brought bang up to date? My nieces are still a bit young for this. I hope they'll turn out to be the sort of 11- 17 year olds who will enjoy reading this. I'd say the same if they were nephews, too.

This is a great FAMILY, read. It harkens me back to the days when this type of action adventure books were the rage. Both authors have done a great job spinning a story that the whole family can read & hold their attn. [and the parents do not have to worry about what the kids are reading either] It really held my attn during the whole time I was reading it & look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

My daughter and I read it together, it was a wonderful read with tons of action! Highly recommend it for young readers

I Loved the book! Non stop action. Great father/daughter relationship. I would definitely recommend this book to young and old.
