I got this as a Christmas gift last year (2022) for my husband at JCPenny for almost $50. He absolutely loved it. Problem was that the light bulb didn't last long 3-4 months. Looked high and low for a replacement bulb and of course only found one (pack of six) here, on Amazon, as well; but it didn't seat correctly. The bulb touched the bottom of the glass and the entire lava portion became askew. The wax became burnt in appearance because the lightbulb heat was so high and it would even become dark brown looking. I replaced the entire thing with one from here and it has been working fine for the last six months. May I suggest that the manufacturer offer replacement bulbs that fit correctly?

Bought one, then when set up it didn't get hot so the wax would not melt. I set up to return it and received a new one before the broken one was sent back, that one worked for about 2 weeks then the light bulb went out and was replaced with a new one and still doesn't turn work. So typically I had 2 of these and they are no just no good, do NOT buy!

Purchased as a Valentine's Day gift for my boyfriend and we both love it! My favorite thing about this lava lamp is the unique shape, it's modern, sleek, and stands out in the best way. For that alone it blows away your average lava lamp. It takes about a hour or so to heat up (is hot to touch, but not concerning). As far as the speaker, it was easy to set up, and the quality of sound has been great! Overall, this product exceeded my expectations.

It’s a great lava lamp, but the middle doesn’t connect to the top or bottom. It just lays on the bottom. It doesn’t screw in or click in. It just lays on top of it. Same with the top. It doesn’t screw onto or click onto the lamp. If you’re getting this for a boy’s room - beware. I’m worried if my son walks too hard it’ll topple over and break. I thought of using super glue, but I don’t know how safe or effective that would be given how HOT the whole lamp gets. I had a lava lamp as a small child, maybe 8 or 9, and it seemed a lot more durable… it is a nice lamp. Just nervous of its durability.

I know how to shop for bulbs. This bulb burned out just beyond the Amazon return window, effectively the only return/warranty period that matters. Asking for a comp from the manufacturer isn't a solution here, I need to know if this appliance will last for the long haul.Indeed you cannot find the halogen bulb with two little pins that pushes into a slot. Look elsewhere and they'll give you the specs, but it's unavailable and has been discontinued in heat-producing 110v needed for lava lamps in the US, instead you can only get LED energy saver that's useless to you, or a different wattage in 110v, also useless. Or be at the mercy of the manufacturer in China, which means being behind the 8-ball given there really is no such thing as a customer service department anymore with these business to consumer relationships.Before you buy a lava lamp, you need to identify the bulb with exactitude so that you can buy a four-pack of bulb replacements at the same time as your purchase. Otherwise you're burning a fifty dollar bill, effectively speaking.And by the way, why did these imbeciles switch to a discontinued (HALOGEN) bulb instead of the tried-tested-and-true incandescent? So they could make room for a bluetooth speaker in the bottom that no one especially wants. And really a shame too, as the wavy design of the lava-lamp part itself was a step forward in design.

First one we got did not work properly but we were able to get a replacement and that one worked wonderfully. Love watching the lava lamp work. It's really calming.

Can’t return because I threw out box. Now I gotta find the correct bulb. Wouldn’t recommend even though it’s beautiful.
