Here is a copy of what "WolfSmack" had written on the Healthex website. My experience was similar to what the writer said: It took about 2 hours to fully expand. I too have found this product to be excellent and I would echo the other comments made by "WolfSmack";  SEE BELOW. This item arrived on time and was well packaged. After removing it from the compressed and sealed plastic bag it had to have about 2 hours to expand where it could be used. The following day, about 10-hrs. it had fully expanded to completely fill the outer cover without any voids or wrinkles - looks exactly like the photograph on Amazon. The foam is high quality with a medium density that is easy on the legs - the calves more precisely and does not sag under the weight. This is not memory foam, so it returns to normal immediately after use. The cover is a very nice, quilted fabric, which is exceptionally soft and non-clingy, but since it is white, it may fall prey to early soiling from just everyday use. I would say this cover will launder well with cold water and a hand-wash setting. Here's something that is rare for a product like this: the cover is easily removable via a small, well-sewn zipper that encompasses two sides and one corner, rather than just one side, which allows for extremely easy removal and re-application of the cover on the foam. I would purchase this item again if needed and would recommend it to friends. A genuinely nice product!

My elevation pillow did not expand.  Is there anything I can do to get it to expand?
