Q: Is theback part "the fan" strong enough to push air through a Hepa Filter specifically a 24x48x5-7/8

I imagine it is but that would also put stress on the fan motors and might effect the warranty. Why would you use a hepa filter on a dehydrator?

It is a food dehydrator , vs. a freeze drier . You can dry or preserve many foods with a dehydrator . But not freeze dry that is a different process .
