Carmilla

This is one of my favourite gothic horror books which is why i decided to buy a physical copy. HOWEVER, my book came covered in marks and streaks, it was also a bit dented but that could be blamed on shipping. The marks came off with a little bit of water but it was still a little gross! :)) otherwise, great book, worth it.

Easy to read, and kept me interested! It’s apparently the original vampire story before Dracula.

I wanted to read this to see what the readers liked back in the 1800's. The book was so poorly formatted and edited that not only did I have trouble realizing who was speaking, but there were a few repeated pages. It's poor quality like this that gives print on demand a bad rep.

Not all books need to be huge to be good. The writing is beautiful, and the story captivating enough to keep you reading till the end. The plot is slightly predictable, but it's an educational moment to see the formatting of storytelling. would recommend to anyone who loves classics or is interested in vampire literature.
