Eddie Bauer invented the down coat, hence the puffer. It's a go-to brand for warmth.
I stumbled upon a great price for a great product. This lightweight down jacket suits me to 32 degrees (freezing) with reasonable under-layers, maybe a long T and a flannel. It does better than expected in moderate wind when in the 30s range as well, say, 12 MPH. It weighs less than a pound but has a lot of warmth for the buck and weight. Quite pleased.
