I ordered this as a clasp for a watch, but it was actually way heavier and more substantial than I thought it would be, and it’s way more than I need for my plan. I am keeping it though, because it’s so beefy, to use on another project. I would recommend these clasps to anyone who needs something easy to use and that will hold up to wear. I will say, though, that I did not find where the item description mentioned what metal it was made of. I would say it’s steel, from the weight and appearance. Good product!

From a distance it looks nice but as soon as you touch it, you realize what poor quality it is. The buckle fit is so loose, that it constantly rattles. The spring assisted side bumps are very thin inside, and they clatter around inside the housing. There should have been some plastic washers sandwiching them to dampen the metal on metal noise, instead it causes a constant rattle. For almost $12, I am unimpressed and will not be purchasing another one.

I bought these to make some dog collars. They are very pretty and heavy duty. I like them because they are gold - the only others I could find elsewhere where rose gold. Shipping was slow on these probably due to issues with the postal service.

i received my buckle earlier today and after waiting over a week, i was excited to use it right away. but i was disappointed however, as soon as i removed it from the package the first thing i noticed was it is poorly constructed. it is not a very precise fit, so when then buckle is closed it is loose and makes an annoying rattle. i atribute it to poor design and construction, i assume the sizing was not made presise to make a nice snug fitting buckle. regardless i used it any way. i was using it for a handmade leather bag with an adjustable over the shoulder strap for carrying books and things around for my college classes when we return to campuses in the future. this is where the second problem arose, but i think it is tied to the loose fit problem. when i finished the strap to test it, i loaded the bag with my notebooks, laptop and a textbook, and after a minute of use with weight on it, the buckle pulled apart, it slipped out because of the loose fit when weight was put on it. now after some testing i have concluded five lbs or more of weight will cause the buckle to fail. so overall i cant use it for what i wanted, i quite frankly dont trust it to be reliable in any other use either. after having purchased things from craftmemore before that were great quality im very disappointed considering this was a $10 that im basically throwing away. i dont know if it was this one buckle that was faulty or if this is consistent with all their buckles of this type, regardless, i wont buy again, i would warn other buyers to purchase with caution or find a different buckle. one star for the buckle is nice looking compared to others i looked at, but it also is nothing like the pictured product, instead of a matte gunmetal gray the buckle in real life is a glossy almost solid black but in the end looks dont matter when the buckle doesnt work.

The buckle on the right is a lot thinner than the first buckle I bought and the mechanism is loose and it weighs a lot less

It does feel a little wiggly so I'm afraid it won't last for long... but as far as the look of it, it's beautiful and it's in the right gold shade for me.
