Nice flavor and texture
I am a quinoa fan and typically buy at mixture of white, red, and black quinoa. I decided to try this variety when I saw it pop up in recommendations. It's a tasty product. It does have a slightly different flavor to me; a little sweeter and nuttier and less earthy. I found that to be a pleasant change. I didn't find this to be bitter at all.The cooking directions are quite different from other quinoa; you add 4 cups water to 1 cup quinoa and cook as you do pasta. The directions say 12-15 minutes. I recommend checking it at 12 minutes as this can go from slightly crunchy to overdone in a flash.I didn't have a strainer with small enough holes to cook this as directed when I first received it, and I tried using the traditional method. I don't recommend that; the quinoa was very mushy.Bottom line: if you enjoy quinoa, I think you'll like this variety.*Update*After a couple of tries, I have found 11 1/2 minutes to be perfectly cooked for me. Any longer than that, and I have mushy quinoa. I bring the water to a rolling boil, add a pinch of salt and dump in the quinoa. I set the timer for 11 1/2 minutes and immediately remove from the heat and drain. I then dump the drained quinoa onto a plate or baking sheet where I can spread it into a thin layer to cool. The extra step is worth it to keep the grains fluffier and separated. This is persnickety quinoa, but properly cooked it is very good.

great stuff
I love this quinoa. I love the nuttiness. I feed this to my pet Chow and I eat it too.

This is Excellent Quinoa; Follow Everyone's Advice To Ignore The Package Instructions; Insta-Pot OK
We decided to try this because it is cheaper than the other quinoas we have tried. We found most of the comments to be accurate--it is a little stickier and a little stronger in flavor. But, we really like the flavor and it isn't like it turns into a sticky ball of mush or anything. We use quinoa for a lot of different things and in a lot of different ways and don't use this any differently than any other. Don't cook it like the instructions. Do whatever you normally do (at least to start) we do exactly the same thing we always have in our Instant Pot--2 Cups Quinoa, 2.5 Cups Water, Multigrain Setting, 8 Minutes and it comes out perfect every time; note: err a little high with the water, not low. We also found this quinoa to be cleaner than most--even the moderately high priced, superwashed, white that comes in small-ish packages.

Ignore the water amount or you'll have mush
I ignored the cooking instructions and made it the way I usually make it. I toast one cup quinoa in the saucepan over low heat until it looks a little golden (gives it a more nutty flavor), then use 1.25 cups of broth (or water), and simmer with the lid on for about 12-15 minutes until the water is absorbed. Let stand for 5 minutes then fluff with a form before serving. Tastes great and much cheaper than purchasing Bob's Red Mill brand.

I love it
If you are looking for typical South American quinoa, this is not it. This is a more amaranth-like grain that cooks nice and mushy, which I love for porridge and pudding. It has a unique glutinous texture that is polenta-like. Tastes delicious with brown sugar, sweet spices, nuts, and milk. I am sorry it is unavailable because I would like to buy more.

Wonderful Quinoa!
This is great Quinoa! I eat quinoa several times per week, typically as part of a salad. This is the first time I have tried the Canadian quinoa and it is great. I cooked it to the directions given on the package (4 cups water, 1 cup quinoa) and it turned out just fine (you do need to strain it when it's done). I will try the method recommended by the other reviewers sometime to check it out as well. Great price for 5 lbs as well.

I really wanted to love this kind...
I really wanted to love this type of quinoa.I've never had quinoa that was more like sticky rice until I tried this. I've tried making it per the directions on the bag, as well as cooking it with 2 cups or less water per cup of quinoa, and it turns out the same every time. It's very hearty, and would most likely be good in soups and stews..but I eat it with different meats and vegetables all combined together, and I just really don't like the way this quinoa tastes. It isn't bad at all, it's just not appetizing to me.However, you get a lot of quinoa for the price, so that's a plus. It also is very filling, so that's a plus too.

This is prewashed Golden Quinoa so you don’t have to rinse in fine screen strainer
In the “Instant Pot” cook 1 cup quinoa in 2 cup water or broth. Set manual pressure cooking setting for 2 minute. All the liquid will be absorbed so no need to drain. Delicious quick and easy. It isn’t golden after cooking it is grey taupe color. Some people cook in less liquid but I prefer not so chewy quinoa. This brand does not require rinsing which makes it easier to cook than non prewashed quinoa.Update: I leave a good review and now the price increased up $5 higher for this product! Coincidence or what... maybe good reviews just cause price hikes?
