Hello, The new Original-Profi Collection and Pure-Profi Collection are identical in design and quality. Fissler decided to rebrand the Pure-Profi Collection to Original-Profi Collection to continue with the tradition of the name that has been known for 45 years.

Q: Would the handle and the lid handle get hot during cooking with medium/medium low heat?

Yes, the handles will be hot during cooking, but is not problem for me, I use the pot almost every day, really love it, and it’s really a good price on Amazon!

Q: Would the 8" steamer insert work with this?

Thank you very much for your question. No, this pot has a diameter of 9.4" and the 8" (exactly 7.9") steamer basket fits only 7.9" pots. We measure the diameter of a pot at the top of the pot from inside wall to inside wall. All pot accessories are related to these measurements. E.g. a 7.9" lid would fit the 7.9" pot and so on.
