Hit and Miss
I just started wearing period underwear at the recommendation of a friend. These super undies only kind of work. They do hold a lot but leak through the edges, which defeats the purpose of wearing them. I have both the sport brief and this high waist super absorbency pair for overnight use. They are both very comfortable and keep you dry. Overall experience is much more comfortable than pads, cups, or tampons. I do not have a heavy flow but figured that I should wear something substantial for eight hours of sleep. Thankfully I was too nervous to wear them overnight and thought I'd give them a trial run during a day I was working from home. It was my heaviest day (day 2) and I wore them literally all day long from the morning until the afternoon, but by the afternoon the edges of the crotch had bled over and gotten onto my jeans--the same thing that likely would have happened with a pad without wings. There's no way I bled 5 tampons worth into these panties—the "pad" part of these panties rises all the way up the front and back (areas that don't really need as much protection). The crotch area could have used more padding or support but that might have made them uncomfortable. I think that while these are a good idea, they probably won't completely replace pads and tampons. They'd probably work on any other day than a moderate to heavy day.

These are fine. Good for really heavy flow.
Frankly overpriced for the quality it seems. There were threads hanging off some of the seams and I have no idea how long the stitching will last because of it. I had many similar pairs from a few different brands for prices like $12 per 3-pack to $26 per 2-pack. Those never last more then like 6-8 months because the stitching always sucks and comes undone. So I bit my lip and bought the more expensive brand like thinx expecting better quality stitching. These aren't even the most expensive underwear I own so I would be ok with the price if these were actually high quality overall. And the only thing these underwear seem to have gotten wrong IS the stitching as everything else including the materials seems to be quality. The only upside to these is they are for super heavy flow. A whole diaper really without looking like one. Most of the ones I own are for light and moderate flow. And I have like 3 pairs for really heavy flow but these seem to absorb even more then that. Kinda excessive for me as my flow is generally low to moderate for most periods. I don't bleed enough in the 8 hours that a pair of period undies should be worn to fill-up these even to a half-way point. But wearing them longer then 12 hours is also not an option because I don't want any bacterial infections, thank you very much.BTW here is my PSA: Period underwear, just like any other period product, is not meant to be worn for too long. 12 hours should be the absolute max, but frankly you should aim to change your underwear every 6-8 hours. That means that if you wash them immediately you need like 7-8 pairs at the minimum in order for them to be changed 3-4 times a day and have time to dry afterwards. With the previous information in mind, the amount of undies I would need of this sort for a single period is gigantic. Considering how often these need to be washed, the fact they do not dry quickly as these are for super heavy flow, the fact that the stitching seems so flawed, and that you would need to own a lot of these to cover your whole period if you account for how long these dry: they are not worth the price in my opinion. I guess get them if you have super heavy flow days. They should be good for that. But supplement them with other types of period undies for when you aren't on the super heavy flow. I might give the brand one more try in maybe their heavy or moderate flow underwear. I definitely will not be getting another pair of these specific ones simply because I don't bleed so heavy and so these will not be used often anyway. Another thing I have to mention is that these run small. I usually wear a 2x-3x in undies from different brands and these I had to get in a 4x and they fit like a glove. So yeah sizing is definitely smaller then I am used to. 4 stars because these do work well. I just don't know how well they will last. I will probably update the review at some point when they become unusable to see how long they lasted and what failed first. If the stitching actually does hold up for over a year then I might change to 5 stars. I really do need to try another pair though I think. The cut on these is flattering for my bodyshape though and all the other thinx I have seen do not look promising.

Sizing is inconsistent
I ordered these in black and dusk in size medium. I opened the black package first and they don't have much stretch. I opened the dusk package and they are noticeably more stretchy. I read reviews about them being tight around the thigh area and that is true. I do tend to carry more weight in my thighs (as confirmed by my grandmother, thanks grandma) so I thought about going with size large. I tried them on over some spandex bike shorts and the black ones are definitely more tight. I am 5'2 and 135 pounds. Also, for reference, I wasn't sure what size to order because I recently gained some weight and also normally wear thongs and those fit differently. I usually buy size small in thongs and medium in underwear with more coverage but sizing can vary so much with different brands. I decided to go with medium hoping they wouldn't be too snug. I would probably size up but I know I will be losing some weight soon so I am going to stick with the size I got for dusk and will probably size up for the black ones. I also ordered the briefs and the medium size is way more stretchy and will definitely be too big if I lose any weight... unless you like a loose fit. Long story short, if you have bigger thighs, maybe avoid the black color or definitely size up on these.

Order a size UP
Normally an XL and went up to a XXL and they fit perfectly. Full coverage and surprisingly cute. Would love several but the price!! 💔💔

Favorite pair
I love the high waisted ones. I am a mom and almost 40. These hold a heavy flow all day. I did not feel wet or like I smelled at all throughout the day.

💜grateful
I love Thinx love their mission. Love that I can not wear tampons or cup the first and last days of my period and love the security in between. As a teacher, being able to feel mentally and physically comfortable on my heaviest days (while wearing a cup and having these as support) is … everything . 💜💜💜

Size up
These are great, but you may want to size up one or two sizes.

Thinx underwear for periods rock!!! Go up one size
I am 37 and I just discovered these! Wish I had them when I was just starting my period journey! Ladies, you must get these! These are silky and fit high to belly button and are very comfy to wear under any pants. You can easily wear these to bed too and you won’t get cut off on all sides. But, take note… GO ONE SIZE UP so that cutting off doesn’t happen! Very important. You can wear them in your normal size all day, but wearing for a full 24 hours with wearing them to bed is too much.I’m a size 10, weigh 150 with a pear shape and I got a size L first and decided to get more and go up one size to XL. I now have 4! All the same style.
