Nicely executed and handsome blade.
Nicely made knife. The fit and finish are pretty decent except for a little tiny gap at the bolster, but nothing that would impair the functionality, or even the look for that matter. I just bring it up out of full disclosure. The blade is straight and nicely sharp. I didn't have to touch it up at all. The feel of the handle is a little thin, but does fit the hand well enough. The weight of the knife is nice. It has a decent heft and should chop fairly well. Note: This is not an axe, so you shouldn't be battoning with it, but it would probably stand up to that use if you really needed it to. As a presentation blade, it shines very nicely. The "damascus" blade is well etched and looks nice. As a functional knife, I can see it performing a number of chores at the camp site as well as every day carry. It is nicely sized so not too obtrusive. As a combat knife, it is fast and easily maneuverable. I could see a mountain man carrying this blade as their defense against a host of things, as well as preparation of their food and shelter. The sheath is serviceable and should last quite some time. For a 40.00 knife, I can't complain at all.

Well made knife
This knife is very well made. Very beautiful between the wood grain, brass, n the metal grain on the damascus steel blade. The leather on the sheath is of very good quality and complete the overall look. Very reasonable price.
