I needed it as a replacement for the tractor. When I opened the packet, I was concerned that there were only 4 mounting holes, whereas the original speaker had 6. However, closer inspection showed the 4 lined up perfectly.I fitted it in about 10 minutes and it sounded great. Although the other original is still working the difference in sound is very noticeable so I will be getting another to balance the sound with no hesitation.

If wired up correctly these speakers work quite well. However the labelling of the terminals is incorrect. If a AA battery is connected momentarily across the terminals with the polarity as labelled with the left terminal negative and the larger right terminal positive, the cone moves inwards. This is not correct as for correct polarity when the positive of the battery is connected to the positive of the speaker then the cone should move outwards NOT inwards. The labelling is therefore reversed and the smaller left terminal should be marked positive and the larger right terminal should be marked negative. This applied to both speakers and I can only therefore assume it is a manufacturing error. If connected in the way stated on the speaker they sound very flat and rubbish. I also think that 500 watts is far beyond optimistic and for any quality at all 20 watts maximum would be more appropriate

So on the listing it says speakers, so you automatically think it’s a pair, so I ordered, when I received I only got one speaker, on rereading the listing as you go down it reverts to speaker, misleading and feel ripped off, I would rather chuck it away than buy another one to make a pair now
