I was initially very surprised at the great small size of the kickAMP. I wanted to push my in-wall speakers for an ipod connection. This on the surface seemed like a perfect device. I could tuck it away, and just have the ipod dock visible. I thought this would be a great solution. After hooking it up, the device emits a very loud HUM. I thought this certainly won't work in a bedroom!!! Then I tried to play music with my ipod, and there was absolutely no output to the speakers. This thing is a piece of garbage and going back.I'm trying this: Pyle - Mini 2x75W Stereo Power Amplifier - PCA3At the price of the kickAMP, you only have 40W. Same price as 75W Pyle! The Pyle certainly couldn't be any worse!

This is one of the coolest gadgets I have ever found for playing music. It is a full blown amplifier that fits in your pocket. Use any speakers. Great sound. A really nice device.

These things work well for a while but then they just die and start producing a popping and cracking noise. I've RMA'd about four of these now and I'm finally going to look at a different product.

I have speakers in several rooms of my house and was looking for an inexpensive amp to drive them. The kickAMP has served that function beautifully. It uses almost no energy when idle (which is most of the time), and even when driven hardly gets warm to the touch. I have used it both with my iPod and the second room output of my preamp and it works well with both. I'm wasn't looking for audiophile quality, but music sounds natural and unforced. It's driving 8 L-pads (for independent volume control of each speaker) and doesn't have any problem driving that load. Construction quality is solid. I've had it for more than a year now with no issues. Strongly recommended!

The product works fine. Delivers high quality audio with plenty of power in a small package. Would like to have a volume control.
