Very comfortable for concealed carry.
I had been searching for an ankle holster for my 19.5 inch calf for a while and this one did the trick and for the price ($19.95 and free shipping with Prime) I haven't seen better. I received it right on schedule from Amazon on November 30th and have worn it every day since receiving it. I have tried several pistols in it and I'll share my perspective. First the good: this holster actually fit my calf very comfortably and securely. As you can see in the attached picture, I have a generous sized calf but this is secure. It has wide velcro straps at the top and bottom with just enough elasticity to firmly attach. The pockets for the gun and extra mag have straps that snap on for added security. The top has a wrap around strap secured by a ladder lock slider buckle (I believe that's the name of it) for added security. First up was my Ruger LCP 380, 6 shot with flush mag. I wear it for maybe 12 hours a day and I never notice it unless I think about it (which I do occasionally to make sure it's still there). The holster has an additional mag pocket and I can't even feel it in there. I wear jeans or sweats that hang just below my ankle and you can't see it. I haven't tried wearing it in boots as we've had no snow yet but will update then. Next I tried my Hellcat Pro 9mm, 10 shot flush mag. This pistol is noticeably heavy on my leg and the extra mag protrudes from the pocket and irritates my leg. The holster holds both the gun and extra mag securely so maybe I'm just a little skittish about the extra heft so I will try again and update this review. Finally I tried a S&W 9VE 9mm but it is just too large for this holster. I have decided to use this holster every day for my little Ruger for my back up piece and another holster for my Hellcat at 4:00 oclock. For the price, fit, comfort and security you cannot go wrong with choosing this holster. Hope this helps.

Great product with nice features at a good price
I have only been using the holster for about a week, but so far I really like it. I carry a S&W 9mm Shield with an extra magazine and both fit well in their respective pockets. The holster is very comfortable and I have used it every day since it arrived. I tried an in the waist band holster previously, but found that I did not carry my pistol because of the type of clothing I wear. I like to tuck in my shirt, so the waist band holster didn't work for me. I usually wear tactical pants which are loose around my ankles, but I also occasionally wear dress pants. I am able to use the holster with both types of pants with no problem. I also like the way you can fold the holster after you take it off with the gun and magazine still in it. I place it on my night stand next to my bed at night. The only concern I have is the stitching where the top strap attaches to the bottom strap. The stitching on mine appears a little loose and my concern is that over time it may break from repeated use, but so far this has not been a problem. I also like the fact that this holster has a small tab where the barrel of the gun sticks out. This helps keep the metal from rubbing against your ankle. Other similar products that I looked at did not have this feature. In addition, I like the snaps the hold the pistol and magazine. Similar products use Velcro in this area. The Velcro used to hold the top and bottom straps to your leg work very well and allow me to adjust the holster for the best fit. I definitely recommend this holster. It is only a few dollars more than others that I have seen and in my opinion it is well worth the extra money.Update 5/7/2018After wearing this holster on a daily basis for several months, I am sorry to say that it has not lived up to my initial expectations. I still really like the design, but the velcro fasteners no long hold, which makes the holster unusable. Apparently LPV is aware of this problem, because after I had the original holster for about a month, a new one showed up in my mail box (at no charge) with about twice as much of the same type of velcro as the one that I originally purchased. I was hoping this would fix the problem, but it did not. After several weeks of using the replacement holster on a daily basis, the velcro on it also failed. I think a more aggressive type of velcro is needed. At this point I am not able to use the holster. I hope LPV can make improvements to this product that will make it more reliable and longer lasting because I really like the overall design and this is my preferred type of holster .Update 9/15/2018Due to the weak velco, I did not use my holster for about two months after my last update, but one day I came across two velcro cinch straps that were long enough to fit around my ankle and my leg just below the knee. I used this arrangement for several weeks and it worked reasonably well, but it was not ideal, because the ankle strap had to go around the outside of the pistol and sometimes it would side off. The strap near my knee worked well and remained secure. My next thought was to purchase some velcro that was more aggressive and sew it on over the existing velcro. I found some sew on type velco at Walmart and a friend, with a heavy duty sewing machine, agreed to sew it on for me. Before I had a change to give my friend the velcro, FPV sent me an updated version with heavy duty velcro sewn on in the same place that I had planned to have it sewn. What they did was sew on only the loop side of the vecro (fuzzy side) and use the same hooks (rough side) as the original. I have been wearing the new design for about two weeks now and it is performing well. The only recommendation I would make is to increase the length of the new velcro piece on the upper part near the knee by 1 to 2 inches because the hooks extend past the new velcro and only grips to a short section of the new loops. The velcro at the ankle is long enough. The holster that was sent to me appears to be one of the original holsters with the short velcro hooks that was modified by adding a piece of of velcro with more aggressive loops (fuzzy side). The design previous to his one had about twice as much velcro (hook side). I think it would be better if they used a longer section of hooks along with the new more aggressive loops. I think the holster that I how have is likely to last much longer with the modification that was made. I am please to see that FPV has listened to customer feedback and has made changes to improve their product. This is still the type of holster I prefer to use and with these improvements, I plan to wear it on a daily basis.

Comfortable, but not very stable.
I have been carrying daily with this holster for a little over a month now, pretty much whenever I am not sleeping. Overall, I really like this holster. My work is a non-permisive environment, and ankle carry is the most discreet method of carry for my body type, clothing, and movement I have to do throughout the day.First off, this holster is comfortable. Probably one of the more comfortable holsters I have used. The calf strap that helps hold the holster in place is very adjustable, and has a nylon strap that keeps it tight. I do wish that I could adjust the ride height of the holster by about a quarter inch, but it sits fine where it is. I work 10-12 hours a day, plus an hour and a half of driving, and forget I am wearing the holster most of the time. I even keep it on while at home.Stability of the pistol in the holster is only ok. It is a universal fit holster, so a lot of different pistols will fit, but none very well. The holster carried my Glock 43x with a Recovery rail adapter and Olight PL-Mini pretty well, but that is just a little big for ankle carry. The light really helped with stability.I ended up deciding on a j-frame to carry in this holster. I wear straight cut pants, so the smaller grip makes concealing a lot easier. The revolver does have a tendency to tilt forward do to the universal design of the holster. I fixed this by stitching the elastic part of the holster to the neoprene backing just below the trigger guard. This could also be accomplished with a staple or two if you really don't like sewing. There is a spare mag pocket on the back of the holster. I obviously don't use it for a mag, since I carry a revolver. It was too tight to carry a loaded speed strip in, but it carries my lock picks well. A knife or flashlight could also fit if they are small enough.Like I said at the beginning of the review, overall i like this holster. It is comfortable, and with a little modification, can hold a pistol stable. For the price, this is great for someone on a budget or looking to try out ankle carry for the first time.
