Soooooo smooth!
Yes, this handle is expensive! But after my buddy raved about his new Penn reel and especially the ball handle and how much better it felt, I figured I’d give it a try for my prized Daiwa BG MQ 2500 reel. And it did not disappoint! It looks fantastic and very complimentary of the actual reel itself. It looks well-made, turns super smoothly, and while I haven’t caught a monster fish on it yet, it’s definitely got a solid feel and grip to it.Does the Daiwa BG MQ 2500 need this handle? Absolutely not! But will this handle make a difference in the feel and handling of the reel? I absolutely believe so! So much so,that I bought one for my Daiwa BG 2500 too, and it too looks and feels awesome, and compliments the black and gold design of the reel! 😉So yes, it’s expensive but definitely worth it!

These Are Great on Larger Daiwa Reels
I've added these to a Daiwa BG 3500, BG 2500, and BG 2000. The handle works fine on all of them, but I think that it is too large for the BG 2000, which is OK, because I moved the one I had bought for the BG 2000 onto a BG 2500, and that worked out fine. They are pricey additions, but the price is worth the improvement.I've also put Gomexus handles on Penn reels, and they make it easier to turn those hard to crank reels.

Aesthetically pleasing but doesn’t play well with saltwater
The media could not be loaded. These are nice to look at, feel great during use and pair up flawlessly with their intended reels. However, after one trip fishing in saltwater (and no it wasn’t dunked) it’s squeaky even after rinsing and oiling. Not gonna be fishing with a squeaky handle. $34 well spent? I’m thinking twice about it now.
