Good for small dogs, but hyper and larger dogs it doesn't work.

I gave this product 1 star when first received, therefore I am updating my review, when I received the collar it didn’t work, latter on I discover it was the battery I am putting 4 stars because despite of the disappointment on not working at first and having to spend an extra 16 on the battery, the set up was simple, my dog is really sweet but stubborn I am actually using it so she doesn’t get close to the couch (she destroyed already 2 couches) she learned it really quickly, and only after a week and few attempts to go on the couch she finally learned the lesson, now the collar is off all the time and she won’t even get close!! I was not happy to do this at first but no training or trainers have been able to correct this little problem. The material are kind of cheap but it’s ok since it’s not supposed to be used for a long time once they learn you don’t need the collar anymore, resume: it’s builded good enough to do the job, and for the price you can’t expect an iPhone-like product.

This actually was a great purchase. I read the reviews and was a little skeptical about the thinness of the wire. We were very careful when installing the wire; not to break it. We do have a fence, but our dog can jump it, so we chose to install this system. We actually did not bury all of it. We wire tied it to the top rail of out fence and buried it at every gate. We have had this system in place 2 months now and set it so it will go off at about three feet from the fence. The dog cannot get close enough to mess with it before she gets shocked. Now we can leave her lose in the back yard and she doesn't even try to get close to the fence even when the collar is off.

I received the item on time but was sad to say was not able to use it as I liked. we got it all set up the way we wanted it to only to find out the collar did not work. We are not sure if it was the battery or just the collar in general. So now I have to find and buy a new battery- which was included and didn't work- cause I did not know the collar didn't work till it was too late to return. Guess the system will just have to wait till I get a new battery.

Has anyone else had any problems with the dogs getting shocked or collar beeping out of the blue? I put the collars on the dogs and walked the perimeter with them it beeped and worked all’s it should. The dogs walked up onto the porch as I went inside and turned the transmitter up some and when I did, both collars went crazy beeping and shocking.

Seems to work okay but battery lifer is less than a month. No way to shut off receiver when not in use. Any suggestions?

We like it but we haven't been able to keep the piece on that holds the battery in on the back of the Collar. It is now missing and the battery will not stay in. We are trying to find out if we can just buy the piece or if we have to purchase a new collar.
