I tried other brands before purchasing this one and had to return them all because you either had to pay for storage, which is absurd considering you’re paying for the back up drive or it was simply too complex for a phone back up drive. This back up drive however, is incredibly easy and efficient to operate. It works quickly even whenever you have 10,000 photos. The storage capacity is great. Super simple to get started, you simply download the app and plug it in the connectivity is easy as can be. I don’t feel I will need another one of these for a very long time. It’s overall an awesome product.

Giving this 4 stars, noy because of quality, but because apple is always more expensive that a windows or android option, and that steams me a bit, but an absolute need.

I purchased this HD a couple of months ago and was very disappointed. The directions were basic and didn't really describe the process for using it. I contacted customer service several times before I got a response. They were helpful in explaining some of my issues. Sadly, they failed to answer my follow up questions to my satisfaction. After several weeks of back and forth they finally told me that my device was defective and they would refund my money. I did appreciate that but it was a month of frustration for a $100 item. I felt like they just bought me off just to get rid of me. If it indeed was defectective why didn't they offer to send me a new one? My issues were it would back up all my pics and videos just some of them. When I added new items from my iPhone the device would not recognize the new things and would fail to back them up. Unreliable. For kicks I just tried it again and it only backed up 100 of my approx 200 new items. It doesn't recognize 50% of the added items on my iPhone. I'm sorry I can't recommend anyone to purchase one of these devices.

Works a charm to back up videos and photos from my iPhone! BUT it doesn’t come with the cable you need for that.Make sure you buy a USB 3.0 to USB C DATA TRANSFER CABLE with this HDD so you can actually back stuff up lol.I have several hundred gigs of photos/videos I’ve needed to back up, and this is the quickest transfer and easiest to use HDD I’ve purchased. Easy five stars.

I required technical IT service/support after purchase in May 2025. The NewQ representative was professional, responsive and provided excellent information, those resources included: emails, PDF, video files and then invited me to return email/video for any follow up problems till this issue reached a successful conclusion.I would recommend for its large 2 Tera hard drive, durability most importantly, is the “excellent IT technical support”. The time zone difference makes it necessary to receive a next day response : however, those inquiries /email sent early AM in the USA can get a response within two hours. I would give this company a 5 star rating .

Best thing i ever bought for my online businesses....makes adding photos to my desktop a dream !

Bought this just a few months back and it is already malfunctioning. Hard drive spins but clicks and starts over, I have les then a thousand pictures on it. Not sure if them pictures can be removed from it now, it shows a full battery to. We will have to see how customer service is but so far not looking good
