Manfrotto NEW MT055XPRO3 055 Aluminium 3-Section Tripod with Horizontal Column (Black) With A Bonus Zaykir Strap

This is a solid product. It is a little expensive, but you will not need another tripod. It is easy to use, can be set up to nearly every angle that you would need. I suggest putting the money into a good tripod, then purchase a solid, but less expensive tripod head that suits your needs.

I made the mistake of selling my Manfrotto heavy-duty tripod, thinking I didn't need it. I replaced it with this model for the Canon 5D IV with battery pack and 300mm f/2.8. Easy to set up and sturdy.

Bought the Manfrotto 055 pro3 tripod an right out of the box had issues. First time raising the center column part number R1039226 retaining ring fell off, all of the column an the center red part came right out an fell to pieces on the floor. After finding a parts list online to be sure I had everything, I called Manfrotto to get a idea how to put it all back together. Since I bought it from this amazon seller Ornem company that was, but is not currently a authorized Manfrotto dealer, the guy from Manfrotto only advice was to box it up return it an buy another one from B+H camera, a authorized dealer. Also he would not honor any kind of warranty on the tripod or offer any advice on how to reassemble it, zero. Because of where I bought it. Figured out assembly, an used tripod several times, an had the above mentioned retaining ring fall off several more times. I went to my local farm/industrial store an got 2 thin snap rings an replaced the worthless ring it came with. Now tripod functions completely properly. It is very stable, strong, an adaptable to get my spotting scope into any position I need it to be. Every other tripod in this price range that I looked at came with spiked feet capability. Not the 055, Manfrotto charges $20 each (yes $60) if you want spikes. Manfrotto also charges $85 for a carry case that is long enough to leave the ball head attached to the tripod. If it wasn't that I need the weight bearing ability an the center column ability to go 90 degrees, I would have went with a Vanguard tripod. I will report back after I have had more time to use this product, an may upgrade my rating.

Simple design. ROCK SOLID. Easy to use. All while being remarkably light and mobile. I highly recommend this tripod. I ordeedr this and the Manfrotto MVH502AH video head. A great combination. I’m genuinely impressed by this product line.

Tripod is working ok so far, for 2-3 weeks, but haven't really tested it extensively.I finally received a QR code from the manufacturer and was able to register for the 10 year warranty extension

Es el primer tripié Manfrotto que tengo. Lo compré esperando tener algo suficientemente estable, robusto y alto. Se ve de muy buena calidad y espero que me dure muchos años!
