Plays great and am so happy I got this album

I had a struggle getting this album. Best buy sold me one with two of the same sides and sold out and then ordered one here and got the wrong album, but they say third times a charm and I got a good copy. Im happy I didnt givr up on this one. I only wish it was a fold out for the price and not just a sleeve.

I thought I knew Garbage, and then I listened to this… every song was pure joy. I forgot some of the band’s later hits and sometimes feel a greatest hits slows down during the era you stopped listening to them. I was surprised that every song I could sing along with or reminded me of a memory. A great compilation of the best of the best.

The songs sound great, and this is one of the only ways to get some mid-career Garbage tracks on vinyl such as the Bleed Like Me selections. (As far as I know.) The mixes sound great, the songs are obviously great, and I think the selections are on point-- there are some tracks from the digital/compact disc version of Anthology that I wish were present on the vinyl, but that would of course require even more vinyls, though I do wish they had gone that route. I would have paid!As far as the packaging goes-- this isn't a gatefold, which I would have preferred, and the orientation of the art on the record sleeves seems like a strange choice. (They are sideways when oriented them properly). The anniversary versions of Garbage, Version 2.0, or BeautifulGarbage did it right with nice packaging that I wish we would have seen here. So overall, probably like 4.5 stars. The music, however, is deserving of 5 stars.

Great record. Sounds great, has my favorite Bond theme on it(the world is not enough), and plays very well. Only thing that bugged me was that the side B sticker was placed on the Side D side of the second record. So my copy has side A, B, C, B. Nothing major but a little bit annoying.I really recommend this record. Garbage is a great band.

Hard to think that this band has been around for nearly 3 decades. They sounded so fresh in my ears that September 1995 afternoon while I was browsing at the local record shop in Broadstairs, Kent, I could not believe how different and brilliant every track was."Anthology" is the band's second international greatest-hits album, presenting remastered version of 35 singles listed in chronological order of release, including rare 2007 track "Witness to your love". The compilation omits the airplay singles "Supervixen", "Temptation waits", and "No gods no masters" single "Wolves".Frontwoman Shirley Manson explained that the album is not meant as a typical greatest-hits collection, but rather something more academic, as an opportunity to "put all our babies together as one, look at the nursery and go, 'Wow, we raised some pretty cute kids!'" She also revealed that, unlike 2007's "Absolute garbage", this time around the band had the polar opposite of previous heartless experience, even being involved in the art direction.On the cover, the Japanese writing translates to "A masterpiece produced by a band known all over the world". Worldwide known they are not, which is a shame, but their discography and legacy stand amongst the greatest in contemporary music. Younger audiences are probably unaware of their contribution to alternative rock, but it was their records that bridged different worlds, and drew different audiences together under Garbage's unique banner. Calling them the forbears of alternative rock is only fitting. "Anthology" is essential.

O produto disco chegou bem antes do prazo que a Amazon havia dado, gostei disso.Deu pra notar também que o vendedor teve todo o cuidado com o disco. Chegou tudo certinho. Estou escutando ele agora :) A qualidade está ótima, normalmente, tudo que escuto na minha vitrola de maleta não tem um som muito bom devido as limitações dela, mas a qualidade do som desse disco tá ótima, então isso já é maravilhoso! Gosto muito dessa banda, então sou suspeito pra falar haha mas a qualidade de tudo é ótima, a impressão na capa e nas luvas tão lindas. O disco amarelo e transparente também é lindíssimo!
