I’ve tried countless hair dyes over the years, but Madison Reed’s 5NNN shade is hands-down the best at-home color I’ve ever used. I have naturally dark brown hair with a fair amount of stubborn gray, and I wanted a deep, neutral tone with full coverage — this delivered perfectly. The application process was smooth and user-friendly, with clear instructions and thoughtful extras like gloves, barrier cream, and a cleansing wipe. What really stood out was the lack of harsh chemical smell — no eye-watering ammonia here! Shade 5NNN gave me a rich, even, darkest neutral brown tone that didn’t skew red or ashy — just a pure, deep brunette. This product is not Upto the mark. I have colored my jar as per instructions within a week my hair turns to grey color again. Such a worst product brought till date. I don’t recommend anyone to use this color for hair.

Great product. I have been using a different brand in between my salon visits and it wasn’t working. I tried this brand and am very impressed. The gray coverage and the length of time it is staying. It’s been a week and the coverage is still working! Will buy again

This was so easy to apply and much faster than using the entire box . My grays are patchy so this works well for me instead of doing it all.

This is a wonderful product I've been using it for about 2 years. Covers the gray and does not have a harsh smell to it.

Ok I have been using another brand for years, but this will be my new go to for root touch up. I like that it isn't as harsh for my hair and covering exactly the same as my other brand. I have some spots that are extremely difficult to color and this product did a good job. Sometimes with even a professional color the area around my ears doesn't always take 100%. So I would recommend you give this dye a try!
