I am boycotting Amazon- this product was delivered to me leaking and sticky and Amazon will not help me return or refund me. Whule they promote and sell this defective, gross, unsealed, unsafe-for-consumption product - they offer no consumer protection.

Most people have only tried the bright red grenadine you find in the grocery store and boy are they missing out! This stuff is worth every penny and the perfect addition to making a good cocktail great!

Ordered in July 2022, the box it came in had a February 2022 expiration date on it. It might still be safe to consume (due to the preservatives) but I don't want to risk it. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund. I think I'll order this directly from the Jack Rudy company website next time.

The packaging that this bottle came in was absolutely first rate, with a customized bubble wrap that perfectly filled the rest of the box it came in and kept the bottle well protected. But that is the best I can say about my experience. The "Grenadine" was brown in color, and though it did not taste bad (sort of like a weak maple-colored simple syrup) it also did not have any red to it at all. It was brown, and so it made my Jack Rose a Jack Brown, and with no red color and no sour note -- which was not a positive. I am drinking it, since it was not inexpensive, but other than the packaging I would say Liber & Co.'s "Real Genadine" is much better, even if their packaging looks primitive by comparison.

As a former bar tender, I have a strong aversion to high-fructose corn syrup in drink mixers -- they increase the likelihood of headaches and hangovers, in my experience. Jack Rudy Grenadine is mostly pomegranate juice sweetened with cane sugar (no corn syrup). The taste is great and is what Grenadine is supposed to taste like. I also like supporting this small-batch business that make other excellent products!
