Priest: A Love Story

Wow! Wow, wow, wow! This is easily one of the hottest books I’ve read. I had no idea I had a priest kink 😉I love Sierra Simone’s writing, and this book was no different. The tension, the love, the desolation, it was all so palpable, all felt so real.Father Tyler Bell, sorry, ex-Father Tyler Bell has instantly cemented himself into my book boyfriend list!The spice was 🔥H 🔥O 🔥T🔥!! But their love was all-consuming, so deep, and so real.I loved this book so much that I’m instantly moving into the next in the series and have ordered the paperback.I listened to the Audiobook for this, & the guy who narrated Tyler's voice was delicious.Such an easy five stars!

This has been on my TBR a while, and i bumped it up after a conversation with @sloanspencerauthor. And oh boy, I'm glad I did.The writing is absolutely beautiful, which was part of what made this story so easy to read. On top of this, I loved this novel's exploration of religion, purity, abuse, and the way all of these can be tied together. I think it would be easy to fall into a forbidden romance of a priest losing religion as he falls for a parishioner. However, Simone went so much deeper than this. She explored the nature of sin, and the ways that the old rituals in religion can be brought into a modern world, and relationship. She pulled us away from a world where morality is black and white, and showed us how the church can take its place in this world.The characters are all so complex, whether this is our main couple, or even the "ex-boyfriend". Tyler is so much more than a conflicted priest, Poppy isnt a sex worker trapped in her role.I loved the way Poppy coaxed Tyler to realisations about himself, and how he was still so effected by the tragedy faced by his family. Equally, Poppy's discovery of religion is shown remarkably, even without her POV included.As well as being a tragic and beautiful story, this was most definitely a taboo romance with the spice to match. The writing didn't falter, and several of those scenes will life in my brain for a long time.I can't wait to read the rest of Sierra Simone's books

I enjoyed the book, but it's just not my thing, so don't be put off.It's well written, and lots of smut pushing the boundaries of the church for sure. There's some hot hot church goings on.He falls for her very fast, and he's definitely better at being a dominant man than a priest.Give this a go if u love this kinda thing, but if ur a dark, dark lady like me, it's just not what normally read, but I wanted to give it a fair go.

This book is something else. I knew it as soon I've read the description.Sierra Simone exceeded all my expectations towards it.I instantly fell in love with Father Tyler Bell and Poppy, their forbidden love story.Amazing book! Perfection in every detail.

The book was good, the plot was good but I think there's just too much smut.

Wow what a read I loved father Bell and poppy and was rooting for them throughout ! The sexual scenes were just as hot also ! Wow what a new kink to have bought to life loved it !!!!

*spoilers*I thought this storyline had a lot of potential but for me it fell short. Firstly, I absolutely loved Father Tyler Bell, he was well written and believable, sweet as a cinnamon roll and smoking hot. I really DIDN’T like the fmc Poppy though. Her character seemed manipulative and insincere to me. She went to confession (having checked out father Bell online first and was interested in him) and proceeded to describe to him in great graphic detail that she earned her living as a stripper who enjoyed m45turbating in front of the clientele. She wasn’t confessing because she felt ashamed but because she didn’t feel ashamed and wondered if she should. To 29 yo Tyler Bell who had been celibate for a number of years (because, well a priest) it was like being hit by a tidal wave, and after only a few of her visits to the church and “chance” meetings out running or in coffee shops he becomes infatuated with her and breaks his vows. She enjoyed the fact that he was ‘excited’ by her visits and although Tyler really did fall for her I thought the s3x scenes in the church were a step too far. Poppy spends half the time ignoring/leaving/hiding from Tyler who is heartbroken. She definitely didn’t deserve him. Also, although I don’t mind spice, there was far too much repetitive s3x in this. Every couple of pages it was the same thing over and over in really graphic detail… yawn 🥱. I read the book and listened to the audio book in tandem, and the voice actor that reads Tyler has the most attractive voice, it makes Father Bell seem even hotter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶I want to start off by saying, Sierra Simone writes some of the best spice I’ve ever read! But even with how spicy this book is, it did not take away from the plot. The story was real, raw & heartbreaking. Priest held me captivated until the very last page, the writing was beautiful. The tension between Tyler & Poppy was palpable, and when they connected… it was filthy in the best possible way. The things that came out of Tyler’s mouth *chefs kiss*I cannot wait to read Sinner & learn more about Sean.

Vaya, este libro fue sorprendente extraño y en lo digo en un sentido muy bueno. Digo esto porque aunque no soy nada religiosa, crecí en un país católico, entonces conozco esa religión. El libro tocó tantos puntos que una persona católica se sentiría ofendida (obvio yo no) y fue extrañamente satisfactorio.Y como dicen todas las reseñas, este libro es REALMENTE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

My first book from Sierra Simone, and I may confess that I loved the fact, that the book was written by a point of view of a man and a priest is amazing. I recommend it for everyone that loves spicy scenes, this is for you.
