Very good
~3.5-4/5[More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]I’ve always loved Roromiya. She’s adorably straight-faced, loves food, and says what she thinks when she thinks she should. She’s probably my favorite character. And that really proves true in this volume, when she forms a friendship with Watanuki and Ririchiyo. She pulls them together, even when they’re trying to be tough. They’re fantastic friends, and I really enjoyed reading their interactions while at school.Aside from that, we get some background information for Soushi, a bit more than I thought would come so quickly. It gives a lot of depth for his character, and made me feel a bit bad for him. The poor guy; I love him. It also helped his and Ririchiyo’s relationship develop, though, and I hope it’ll only do more in the next volume. I’m not too sure where they’re going to go, or how fast they’ll go, but I’m hoping they won’t go too slow in the way of romance. I'm looking forward to it.We also met Kagerou in this volume. I’m not going to spoil his part in any of this, though, because that would be major spoilers, and the surprise is the best part; it really makes his characters and his scenes.. He caused a huge amount of hilarity for me in the anime, and he did about the same in this book. He’s so odd, and he’s fantastic, really. He’s hilariously weird. And seeing his interactions with everyone, including Roromiya, who’s his bodyguard, is great. This is a great series. It’s adorable, and I love the characters; it’s very pretty, and the humor is fantastic. I’m really looking forward to getting the next volume.

Complications Threaten Our Demonic Band
The "romance" between Ririchiyo and Soushi seems to be on the horizon in this next volume of the "Inu X Boku SS" manga from Cocoa Fujiwara yet their roles and personalities continue to impede them. Yet theirs is not the only "romance" as we spend more time with a few of the other residents of Maison de Ayakashi, the apartment for demonic "throwbacks."The first hints of darkness appear not so much in the occasional fully demonic attacks but in the guise of Ririchiyo's betrothed who is part creep and part comedian. His presence reveals further dimensions in other other characters but to tell you more would be to spoil your reading. The art is the same quality as the previous volume but I do feel like the English translation is improved. I really liked the ending extra scenes for both their comedy and hints at what is to come. Finally a few paragraphs from Cocoa Fujiwara herself was very informative to read.I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series.

new revelations!
Yup, this is turning out a little differently than I expected. I like that! Still a lot of questions to be answered. I'll continue reading.Sorta like: Captive Hearts + Mardok Scramble in a blender. Little girl (how little? Hard to tell. middle-high school?), big strong fella (how old? High school to college age?) Find out in this volume how he came to be her servant. Now that she knows, will their relationship change? And a "fiance" shows up on the scene to kidnap the princess! What a nasty man! Will he let her go?Nominallly comic in terms of situation, and interesting story. Is this sexy or not? Lots of ambiguity, which makes for good fun. I knew he wasn't really a dog!

This book is super-S!
Inu x Boku SS volume 2 contains chapters 5 to 8 plus some side stories and author's notes! It is rated OT for older teen due to language and violence. It is not for children. (S&M jokes aplenty!)Continuing from the first volume, Ririchiyo is still trying to make friends at school and get closer to Soushi. At the same time, she is receiving creepy messages but it doesn't take long to find the culprit. That is when we are introduced to a new, very eccentric character, Kagerou-sama. With Kagerou in the picture now, Soushi cannot hide his past from Ririchiyo any longer and tells her the truth.A very interesting volume! Soushi's past is not what I expected, it does make you change your opinion on him slightly without making him lose any of his loveliness. The new character is pretty different from what I'm used to seeing. He is the reason why this manga has a high age rating. The art is just as beautiful as the first volume, even the side stories have had care put into them.Again, looking forward to the next volume!
